Browne, or the articles? :confused:The articles, obviously. You need to stop being so negative against this lady. Why do you have to doubt all the time?

Hah! I thought that, too. Especially since on Montel lately she's taken to wearing brown alot. :D

The first one has a nice ending, but the 2nd one, not so much...
They definitely seemed the type. People, see for yourself or take a little advice from someone who has been there and done that, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!! The next person I am going to see is John Edward, I’m not giving up on all psychics because I do believe people have this gift, Sylvia is just not one of them, but I’m a mother on a mission and I am a seeker of truth. And I will be taking Sylvia books back to Barnes and Noble. Thank you for listening to this long winded but hopefully informative email. God Bless you all and may you find the peace for which you seek.

I'm having a barney with some of the contributors to

http://www.realcrimes.com/

It's a site where SB has been touted as the savior to the relatives of victims of some pretty terrible crimes -- probably by SB herself, or her agents.

Even the first person says:

Let me end by saying I do believe that the psychic gift is genuine but the problem is finding the genuine psychic.

It took me a while.. For a moment, I thought you were dicussing color and texture of the object in question ...I thought the same thing as I keyed it in, but thought the double meaning not totally inaccurate.

Keep it up RLancastr! No, not like that...anything but that...Ummmm, thanks?

The first one has a nice ending, but the 2nd one, not so much...I know what you mean. It's the desperate longing for answers that people like her have which "psychics" rely on. :(

Some of the stories on that site can rip your heart out. And the "psychics" prey on emotional carnage that those stories leave behind.

Even the first person says:

Yup. :(

I'd becareful about writing an article about what an internet post claims. That is, unless you can confirm the event took place. The video clips and court documents of verifiable events/claims are stronger than the internet hearsay. Posting unconfirmed internet gossip might be harmful to the page as a whole.

I thought that the accounts had value on the site nonetheless, as do the emails I have posted. I do not intend for the site to focus on these, or even the email accounts, to a great degree. But I will post the ones I feel have value.

Okay, I'm probably not going to make friends, but...

The problem with Sylvia is that she is claiming something that she and no one else can prove. Anonymous internet postings are claims no one else can validate/prove.

Skepticism should be done with evidence others can check, names, dates, records, and so on. Your legal documents, videos, personal interviews are great at showing why people should be skeptical to Browne's claims. However, internet postings don't fall in line with that evidence. They seem more like filler attack.

Linking to the posts and mentioning they are interesting is good, but they shouldn't be treated in the similiar manner (full article analysis, etc) as the people you've corresponded with.

Hi Robert,

I also am a member of other forums (mainly those that deals with mental health). I encountered some new threads that asks things about a "psychic" named Sylvia. They want to know if she is any good.

I told them to visit your site, stopsylviabrowne.com.

You are doing a good job.

The problem with Sylvia is that she is claiming something that she and no one else can prove. Anonymous internet postings are claims no one else can validate/prove.Don't worry about "not making friends", QG.

I am interested in all opinions of what I put on the site, pro or con.

But although I understand your point, I will leave the articles up. Don't worry, this is not something I intend to become a large part of the site. But if I find posts like this in the future, I will carefully weight the value I think they bring to the site against their degree of "unreliability," and decide them on a case-by-case basis.

You are doing a good job. Thanks, Jmont. I appreciate that very much.

Be careful of ancedotes, Rob...Understood, clar.

What if you were able to get notarized legal affidavits? IIRC, some of the people you quoted said that they wanted to help warn other people, so they might be willing to provide them.

In addition to this concern:

(Great quote QG)

It's might be more likely that SB might sue you than Kaz would IF she is given a legal opening, because she is so wealthy. (I didn't check this, but since she charges so much for readings and has sold so many books, I assume it's the case.)

If someone did find them, please go and check and make sure they are still there.:(

Why does Montel put up with this crap?Your guess is as good as mine, Calcas. The prevailing theory is: ratings.
