I could be wrong but it seems to me that books 2 & 3 are encouraging devout christians to eat kosher food!!
Excellent! :D

O.K.. Religious woo-woo, diet plans...
It is really hard to comment without any insight into the contents of the books..
If I was religious, and needed to lose weight, I would just pray about it. If it was God's will for me to lose weight, it would happen.

There are A LOT of books like these. For a short list, check out this thread (http://www.randi.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&postid=342150#post342150).

True, true.
I'll bet you have just as much desire as I do to support the authors by buying one, though...
On a private list there's quite a discussion about this, but it's a private list my spouse belongs to. It appears somebody got one to read, and, well, they are "precious" if you get my drift. (That's "precious" as put by a middle-aged completely secular person who NEVER uses the word "precious", in case that's not clear.)

The cross on the cover of one of the books might be a hint...
I think this was part of a Roman diet plan..

"What Would Jesus Eat? The Ultimate Program for Eating Well, Feeling Great, and Living Longer"
I have two answers:
1. What would Jesus eat? Nothing for 40 days.
2. Live longer with someone who died in his early 30s???
