Currently reading a novel by David Ambrose called "Superstition" based on the "Philip" experiments in the 70s. Apparently, researchers were able to communicate through table rappings with a totally fictitious ghost they'd manafactured. The book is so-so, but the idea is intriguing.

However, given the opportunities for deception with such a method of 'communication', I'm very doubtful of its purported success. I've googled for any serious investigations into this experiment but only come up with paranormal sites. Anybody know of any sceptical investigations of this?
