I just got banned for questioning it * rolls eyes* bunch of fricken 5 year olds argueing over lollies.
My question was they are implying that Nasypany is lying or covering up something and that the operations went ahead (the terrorist attack) without them actually saying it, but rather implying. Intersting to note they see trying to catch Gravy out on what he may or may not say as more important then whats actually being said. You guys know what I mean.
God dylan, grow up, banned for that? Please...
I'm right there with ya. I asked one question...on my very first post there and was instantly banned. One of the lil pipsqueeks asked for a photo that showed the huge gapping hole in WTC7 (which obviously doesn't exist) and I asked for irrefutable proof that the hole didn't exist...given the accounts of the firefighters said it was indeed there.
POOF!...I was banned.
They're babies. Nothing more. A bunch of babies.

Hell of a structural failure to make a sudden CRACK! and thump people's chests almost 1 mile away.
If I wasn't banned I'd say to him...
'Yes... One hell of a structual failure; It brought the skyscraper down, didn't you see?'
Anyhoo...
A crack...A bloody cracking noise...is now proof of a CD.
I hate them.

Quite ridiculous, isn't it?
I watched the video, and Do-Over is still no better at accurately portraying what people actually say in what he writes in his posts (or his videos).
They say they were first at that location when they got off the subway and saw the first tower on fire;
then they "had stuff to do and we did it";
then "we were just walking back" (in the direction of the WTC, not away from it) and heard the second plane hit and saw the fire ball;
later they heard the second plane hit and saw the fireball,
they continue walking back "just watching it";
then they hear "like a crack";
the male says "then the building just slid off diagonally" and the female corrects him, saying "no" and the male says "no, but you could hear it"
the male says "I thought I could feel it in my chest but I don't know if that was just.." interrupted by the female saying, "just panic" - "then the male continuing, "...my heart near popping or what"
In any event, it is obvious that the couple was not sure where they were at the time of the "crack" and yet Do-Over proclaims their location as though he is certain of it.
He then says that the distance from the location that he decides they were at is .64 miles from the tower.
And in his usual sensationalist fashion, he inserts exclamation points into the text in order to give it the meaning that he wants it to have rather tha nthe meaning it actually has. If you watch the video, it is obvious that there were no exclamatatory statements where he inserts the gratuitous punctuation.
And in his usual sloppy fashion, non-scientific fashion, he concludes that .64 miles is "almost a mile".
(Incidentally, it is not at all clear where they were exactly at the time, as the female estimates it as "we weren't that close but we were pretty close" and the male estimates it as "about 20 blocks away.")
My point is that Do-Over must really believe that twoofers will just take his word for whatever distortions he puts on things, including divining the couple's location and stating it as a fact, quoting them selectively and inserting gratuitous punctuation to serve his own purposes, posting it as though it's some kind of revelation, without even bothering to get their words right.
And he's probably right.

The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin:
This thread tipifies completly the tactic of the "de-bunker", playing word games and trying to muddy the waters.
http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=2335&st=210&#last
Poor reggie.
The 'truthers' love to play word games with silverstein's "...pull it..." comment, or rumsfeld's "missile" gaff, and of course the water couldn't get more muddier than a movement which believes that maybe the planes which are claimed to have hit the pentagon and the wtc towers might not be the planes the govt claim they were but the war games which may (or may not) have been planned/running on 9/11 severely impacted on the US air defence ability to intercept the planes which had been hijacked by terrorists and flown...no wait...erm...ummmm ok ok wtc7 was brought down by controlled demolition but the FDNY weren't in on it, though they did agree to pull it, but were only following orders and would be saying so right now if they weren't scared...of something...maybe losing their jobs? Yeah that's it...they cover up the murder of people to keep their....ok ok maybe not...erm....shanksville!! Lightpoles!!! JEWS!!!

Now this poor soul was also banned after a single post, a response to Dylan refusing to clarify his belief about whether flt. 77 hit the Pentagon, or not:
Fatmaninasuit:
That's an interesting way to say, "Yes, I believe that flight 77 was hijacked by Islamist extremists and crashed into the Pentagon but if I actually say it fully a third of my movie is gone."
Starting to close in on you, isn't it, Dylan? Is it tough, looking around for a way to run away from this monster you created only to find out that you are its main victim? Does the guilt gnaw, soliciting support from the relatives of those you laughed at? How about the doubt, that maybe those film schools were on to something?
(top post on page 8 of the thread linked above about NORAD planning but not actually running drills)
Well, I guess he was kinda asking for it, but he did manage to get his licks in and apparently he got a direct hit on a nerve. I only wish there was some way to get word to him about this support group.
There's healing here. :)

I'm not 100% sure Dylan banned me. But it was after a post criticizing his tactics and method of argument. Along with irrefutable evidence he was wrong about Universal's donations to the families of Flight 93 :) So I'm pretty sure it was him, also considering he was online at the time. I've got my badge "Banned From LC" though and I'm pretty darn happy about it :D
I think he has problems with the concept that "were going to be run" is different from "were run".
I think he also has problems with the concept that "I am notwrong" is different from "I am wrong" :)

I've been following it. Great stuff. I love how Merc manages to debate Dylan, and ask for permission to use Dylan's footage at the same time.
I seem to recall Russell making the claim that Merc created waves during the D.C. trip because he felt he should be compensated for his efforts.
If this is true than I guess there's no better time to extend the olive branch than shortly after your adversary claims to have a budget of $20 Million.
On a related note, here's Merc's public apology thread:
http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=2454
This thread is meant to be a public apology to Dylan, and also the past members of the old forum, for any friction I may have contributed to on his original forum. These were issues that shoud have been handled privately between Russell and myself, and eventually with Lyte.
Sometimes we get caught up in negative feelings and can't find our way past them, and back to the positive ones.
So for what it's worth, I apologize Dylan and hope we can resolve our differences and move forward, unified in a common goal of obtaining justice for the 9/11 victims.

How? Here is the quote, from Dylan's sig:

How is that twisting his wording? The only one doing the twisting is you.

I actually managed to survive for 86 posts, and was surprised it lasted that long. I crossed paths with the "leader of the pack" a couple times, the most memorable being when I asked him why he neglected to even make mention of a huge investigation (NIST) that addressed in depth the very subject of a large part of his movie. He first tried to claim he didn't have time, but after I pointed out other additions he did have time for, his response was basically: "It's my movie and I'll do what I want". "I don't owe you a thing!"
This was in a thread started by "NewtonFig", I think the only one he started. (can't post links yet)
Anyways, thanks for the welcome, and thanks for all you've done to help debunk these guys. Their reactions to you are evidence that you are indeed effective!

I used to think there was a limit to the amount of stupidity that could be exhibited by one human being, now I realise I was wrong. There is no limit.
I used to think that eventually a point would be reached when no intelligence was present and that would be like absolute zero.
I now think that stupidity obeys some kind of fractal pattern in that it can be infinite within finite boundaries.

Will LCFC be out by the end of March Dylan? And will it actually be in theaters, advertized in local papers, right across the US and Canada? Is it in the realm of possible to make that dream come true? Will there be a subseqent release in video stores as well? If so, our numbers, by the end of 2007 will by far exceed 50%, and we'll hear some loud shouting for a new independant investigation, which of course we won't get, but the shouts will be loud and clear, and will put the pressure on. I wonder if the historical record on 9/11 will be set straight some day..
Man that would be great. Imagine, wouldn't it be cool for our children to learn about this in school and you can e able to say "Yep, I was one of them...I wish I could do it all over again" We can be in the history books!
So march 2007? Awesome, keep us updated! :D

After several times pointing out to him that no structural engineers in the world support the CT, he claimed it was due to the “influence” of the U.S. government. When I asked him how that accounts for structural engineers in enemy nations such as North Korea, he came back with this gem:
Regarding your North Korean structural engineer, I'm not aware that civilians in North Korea, or North Korea for that matter, can connect to the internet?
Besides submitting contrary reports from structural engineers, don't you suppose that enemy nations, if they had internet access would use the opportunity for propaganda attacks on every subject imaginable??
I haven't noticed any North Korean presence on the internet.
In the #2 spot is our old friend Roxdog. I think many of you already appreciate the fact that Roxdog lives in a magical land far, far way where the logic and reason of our world cease to exist, so I think the following exchange speaks for itself (note the devastating “lol” finishing move):
How is it that you aren't smart enough to address any of the info but somehow are smart enough to say who is "qualified" and who is not?
How is it that you aren't smart enough to diagnose a serious medical condition but are somehow smart enough to know that you should go to a doctor to have that done?
Um, your metaphor proves our point not yours.
And finally our Grand Prize Winner: water_bender. I’m not sure what context I can possibly place this comment in that would convince you to not be afraid for your family’s safety with this wingnut running around loose in the world:
do you hate black people karate? you do don’t you, i should have guessed as much.

Welcome to the board. You'll find it more civilized here, I think.
As for the last comment, where you worry about our fear for our families' safety, I think that, while most of us realize that the vast majority of twoofers are pretty whacked in the head, we also know that they are notoriously lazy, and hence not much of a threat in the real world.
And even if they did get angry enough to try something, they'd all get caught trying to sneak thousands of tons of C4 into working office buildings, just to prove it can be done :)

Welcome JK, to the Forum.
I am not really sure if Dylan realizes that through sensoring all questions or opinions that are at all opposing to the mantra, he is infact, also alienating a good proportion of people who might actually listen to him and his nonsense?

What exactly did you do to get banned?I haven't a clue. I was always very careful to obey the rules: I never engaged in anything approaching personal attacks, and even ignored those directed at me (and there were a lot). and I always stayed on topic. I never "derailed" or "trolled' . My last round of posts were just business as usual.
If I had to guess, I think it was just because more and more people began complaining about me. At the end there, I was fending off six and seven CTers per thread. I felt like a Spartan in the Battle of Thermopylae, battling through wave after wave of endless onslaught. Only instead of Persians, it was retardation.

You little wanker. you think you can keep me out. Think again. How do you justify your search for truth if you ban every one that disagrees. Yes I disagree 9/11 was not an inside job but since opinions like that are not tolerated on this forum for truth, I chose to mock you instead. Herminius,
You're correct. That should NOT be happeneing. However, most objective people when viewing the material in the form of videos, photos and motive will come away with the conclusion that 911 was indeed an inside job. How do I know? I have been a part of this "movement" since it's inceeption and it has grown from 0% to 36% in five years - according to a recent Scripps Howard poll - despite our imperfections.
The truth movemnent is obviously quite healthy and will continue to grow since the nNeocons are their own worst enemies. Remember the quote, "wars that will not end in our lifetime"? Believe it. It is their intent; to reshape the world in their image.
Also remember Herminius, this site by virtue of LC's format with it's hip-hop background music tends to draw a lot of younger people which is great because of their passion and along with them comes different ways of appoaching problems which may not always be the best ways. However, I am in my 50's and understand that; I am not about to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Small stuff doesn't change the fact that 911 was an inside job and objective people know it.
Herminius, you still have not answered me; do you believe 911 was an inside job?

Hmm. "Charles Calthrop" was the identity used by the assassin who tries to kill Charles De Gaulle in The Day of the Jackal; a real-life attempt on de Gaulle's life was led by a Jean-Marie Bastien-Thiry.
I dunno about his identity, but the "Caltrop" poster seems to be revealing something about his taste in literature.

I hope he/she will soon join on this forum.
The thread where Bastien-Thiry complained about the banning of his alter-ego (a thread about the unbanning of PDoherty) has disappeared !
And apparently the banning isn't going fast enough for some:
KT started a thread, Need More Moderators, The trolls are flocking in (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=2552)
KT:

But we need more moderators for the onslaught of trolls.
Jarroyo answers:
Agreed. It's incredible the rising numbers of trolls we are getting. It's like they are spawned by the second.
They sure don't like critics! :)

A critic writes:
Well, he started off well making some interesting points about the 'amber alert' system for finding kidnapped children. But of course he was then confronted by a hardcore paranoid from amongst his own ranks and then the entertainment started.
The third act, however, simply bacame embarassing as frustration and alcohol took over.
This critic was particularily taken with the epilogue, where a well known nazi entered the fray claiming the preceding debate made even her look sane.

I went on to the general chat thread when I was a member of the LC forum, and I posted a thread about whether the Loosers preferred Facebook or Myspace. My premise was to lighten the mood, and one of the CTers came back saying that all forms of media are meant to distract us from the truth that the government is covering up from us. We go to work, watch American Idol, listen to Green Day and other things in order to distract us from the real atrocities that the government has committed :jaw-dropp:

That depends on the length of suspension. If the suspension is
for the next 200 years, it could be considered as a ban. What
does the "suspended until..." message say?

A fellow skeptic, Firestone has fought the good fight,

I say, “Yes” unto her!
Having placed her very sanity at risk,… venturing into the

Yet, our valiant Firestone has returned, perhaps minus
a few brain cells, but nevertheless back to the bosom of

For your dedication to truth and your steadfast rejection of

Just a sample of w-b's writing:
"they were built with plane strikes in mind. they were built with fires in mind. they were built with a plane strike and ensuing fire in mind. the temperature didnt get hot enough for long enough to weaken the steel to the point of a catastrophic failure. the plane strikes didnt do enough damage to keep fire fighters from reaching the damaged floors. the fires werent fierce enough to keep them out nor out of control enough to make a fire chief feel that the fires couldnt be contained. nothing that was supposed to be on either of those planes would have caused the steel structure of the towers to become molten, yet we see a multitude of instances of molten metal, both spewing from the building and later in the rubble. there is the matter of an explosion and crater in wtc 6 that is filmed prior to the second hit. we have tower 7 fall down from across the street. we have a complete failure of our military defense systems, an out of the ordinary absence of key wealthy and high ranking members of several companies that are housed in the WTC. we have proof of insider trading being carried out only moments before the planes started to hit. insider trading that occured from WITHIN THE WTC. we have the company identified as being the culprit in the trading BUYING the company that provided the proof of the crimes. we have an ensuing illegitimate war and the passing of multiple bills that have stripped the american public of even more of thier rights, and we have had a multitude, more than ever before, of government contracts handed out to companies with DIRECT and CLOSE ties to many different aspects of the administration. yet you ignorant, blind, and pitiful people still, STILL refuse to wake the **** up. how naive and blindfolded can you possibly be? do you honestly think that its just one amazing once in a lifetime coincedence after another and another and another?"
That's the first paragraph .

But i don´t know if they have new theories, too.

[rant mode on] The one thing I have learned so far is how dependent on videos they are.
More than once I have heard them say(type) that facts and math was no good for them. They had to see it with thier own eyes as if they were somehow the sole arbiters of reality.
I look at them and fear for the future of my country for reality will not be mocked and if the USA gets so lazy and arrogant that they do not pay attention, then someone else will.[rant mode off.]

July 21 Suspects Used Flour-Based Bombs, Court Told (Update2)
By Megan Murphy and James Lumley
Jan. 15 (Bloomberg) -- A group of would-be suicide bombers made flour and hydrogen peroxide-based explosives wrapped in shrapnel in an attempt to carry out a deadly terror strike on London's transport system on July 21, 2005, a prosecutor said.
Londoners were still reeling from the July 7 attacks, where 56 people lost their lives in a series of bombings carried out by Islamic extremists, when the six Muslim men carried out their botched attempt, prosecutor Nigel Sweeney QC told a jury today at the start of their trial.
One of the men, Ramzi Mohammed, even turned his homemade device to face a mother and child as he tried to detonate it, Sweeney said. The bombs didn't cause widespread death and destruction because they didn't contain a high enough concentration of peroxide to explode properly, Sweeney said.

Possibly the only good to come out of the LC forum is that they've been one of our most reliable referrers for membership.
Be sure to explore the rest of the forum. The Conspiracy Theories sub-forum is actually a recent outgrowth to the JREF forum, created to handle a rapidly-growing debunking effort of the 9/11 CTs. But the bread-and-butter of the forum, and the realm of the seasoned skeptics, really lies in the other topical sub-forums.
Enjoy!

Well I got banned there after a mere 4 days of posting (is that a new record?:)).
When I sent Dylan an email asking why I got banned all I got back from him was "you know why". I guess if I knew why I wouldnt have asked??? :D
However it appears I upset a few people by questioning their logic, beliefs, reasoning etc and also dearing to challenge the notion that the Joooooooos are the cause of all evil!
Then again, on the upside after Mr Avery accused me of being a JREF stooge that I found this forum...which until that time I didnt even know the JREF forums existed!

I just popped into the LC forum and really surprised they are not up in arms defending an innocent guy.I know it's a week old but I seen no woowoo spin yet.
Monday, 8 January 2007,
A Moroccan man convicted in Germany as an accessory to the attacks on the United States in September 2001 has been sentenced to 15 years in jail.
The court in Hamburg handed the maximum sentence against Mounir al-Motassadek
But last year Germany's top appeals court found him guilty of abetting the murder of 246 people on the four planes that crashed on 11 September 2001.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/6242867.stm
What’s wrong with the twoofers? According to them it's an inside job. So why are they not condemning this injustice?
Come on twoofers, any comments? Any spin on somebody who has been sentenced to 15 years for his part in the 911 plot?

I know I'm going a bit off topic here, but 15 years for killing 246 people? Seriously, that's a pretty weak 'maximum sentence' - it averages out to about 20 days per person, and that's not counting the charges for the people in the buildings.
Also, back on the topic of Dylan's "humiliation" of Gravy, I think it's hilarious how all the CTs are rabidly jumping on Gravy's "mistake".

And, from the forum:
Quest, does it really help our movement when you threaten to ban those who disagree with us at every juncture? It kind of makes us look bad. It's not like those who already know the truth can't see through this guys lies anyway.

Shortly after PDoherty had his "epiphany", he was banned at the LC Forum.
When he reappeared here as Rebel, my late alter-ego Wilma opened a thread at LC Forum asking if he would be unbanned.
That totally innocent thread was deleted from the forum. I have saved a copy of it here (http://s29.quicksharing.com/v/8017712/loosechangeforumpdohertythread.pdf.html), there was nothing to it.
When I complained about the deletion of the thread, I was lectured by none other than Rei Murasame. Here (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php=3fs=3dda5920ecc5cf4be80393aeb99685f901&showtopic=3d2590) is how she lectured me:
Oh, so now you want to play the "We're censoring dissent" card, and using a really pathetic thread to back it up with. Are you aware that many of Pdoherty's topics, and Pdoherty-related topics here were deleted because of comments from him like:
1. Him saying that women are not useful here, and are only good to look at?
2. His open discrimination against asian women?
3. His claim that women have low IQs?
4. His belligerent and counterproductive attitude and offensive behaviour?
To ban him and remove threads about him after enduring that for 3 months is NOT Orwellian or 'sad', it's called a lot of PATIENCE.
Can we at least try to be honest here? Probably not, which means I'll have to keep setting the record straight over and over again.
Shall we go another round?Of course, I couldn't engage in another round because I was banned.
Funny thing, though, is that PDoherty (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php=3fs=3dda5920ecc5cf4be80393aeb99685f901&showuser=3d543) has been unbanned at the LC Forum !
Maybe Rei Murasame will now protest the readmission of this mean sexist to their forum? ;)

Do not press Congress to impeach Bush until an "independent investigation" of 911 has been launched. He is the primary target of the Truth Movement. If we want an "independent investigation" into 911 we need him to remain president until it gets under way. If that investigation isn't launched by this time next year, we must all register as Republicons and vote Giuliani so we can buy more time, four more years with a figurehead directly tied to the crimes of 911 as President of this country. Ya dig?
In other words, this administration represents 911. When this administration leaves office, we lose the representatives of the crimes of that day, we lose the 911-administration, we lose steam, the movement dies. It's that simple.

Clearly, you haven't heard about this one (http://yannone.blogspot.com/2007/01/will-plainfield-be-another-waco.html):
In defending themselves against a federal government they claim is operating outside the government's jurisdiction, Ed and Elaine Brown have filed 42 motions in Concord, New Hampshire's, US District Court and had every one denied. The couple then spent three days in court last week listening to the federal government try to build an income tax case against them.
"Of course the government failed. They didn't prove a thing. There's nothing to prove. We didn't violate a statute because there is no statute, and they don't even have jurisdiction. In fact, the court is operating out of a building that New Hampshire never ceded to the federal government--as the law requires in order to have jurisdiction over anyone who has ever been tried in that court!"
But it gets worse. When Judge McAuliffe gave the Browns a draft copy of the jury instructions he planned to deliver at the end of the trial, the contents convinced Ed Brown that McAuliffe would never let him present the kind of defense he planned.
Ed Brown called me on Saturday evening and said that it was clearly pointless for them to go back into that courtroom, and they will not go. Consequently, he fully expects an armed assault by law enforcement at his home on Tuesday, which he and his friend Michael believe will result in a Waco-type scenario. Quipped Michael, "At least we'll be warm."
Ed Brown said he had one simple message for America: "Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country."
Translation: "I don't want to pay my taxes, the judge won't let me use a non-legal argument in court that completely disregards the constitution, therefore I'm going to barricade myself in my home with my buddy and a cache of weapons until the government comes to forcibly remove me and is forced to kill me in the process."
With that sort of thinking, he probably could have gotten off with an insanity plea. Moderate fine and maybe some reality counseling seems better than a violent death, but, to each his own, I suppose.

Just wanted to post a quick hello to all my fellow LC forum refugees who joined the ranks of JREF after me. And to those of you still in the trenches: Keep fighting the good fight!
And I also wanted to give a special shout-out to Oliver for the most excellent badge and soul-stirring commencement speech. As the kids say: You, sir, are da bomb! (At least that's what they were saying the last time I checked in with them, which was 1992.)
And You, Sir, are a flatterer. :D So you don´t want to stay for a while?

I first believed in the CT. Then I read Gravy's Loose Change Guide. It changed everything. What struck me most was not the errors in the truth movement, but the flat out lies. I found JREF when I was googling something about WTC 7. I'm happy I did - I like it here.

I made that post from work (), and the IP there has been blocked on the LC Forum. So I had to do some copy/paste to get the link without the reference to the Proxy-server I used (because they also blocked the previous Proxy-server I used), and apparently made some mistake. Sorry for that.

I should be happy because I'm no longer looking at that pure stupidy at the LC forums, but then again the comedy value of the LC forums is huge. Quite the predicament!
Either way, accessing the LC forums isn't a problem anymore thanks to Firestone. Now, back onto the topic of the forums themselves, I'm shocked that the mods are actually condoning flaming in plain site. Normally they show their bias behind the scenes, but I suppose they don't care anymore. Well, at least Quest doesn't.

As for the 'asking questions' or 'pointing fingers' thing goes.
Will LC FC put the blame on the US government, or will he 'just ask questions?'
Surely the term 'Inside Job' implies just that...
So if any of them say that...they're saying it was the government, or some american group anyway.

To give you an idea of the kind of logic I'm facing over there, here's a couple of different exchanges:
Lets say - both buildings had just suffered structural failure as the official account states. Now, building 7 is obviously a different design to the twin towers and had different damage, naturally. However, why is WTCs 1 and 2 so drastically different in visual if they both just suffered the same fate : structural failure. This is something that doesnt make sense to me. I would imagine they would look different, yes. But i mean - THAT different?
Actually, yes. The reason that they look so different is because of where the damage was and how the structure failed. WTC 7 looks more like a conventional implosive demolition because of how it failed - it's much more similar to what we're familiar with when we see buildings purposely imploded on TV. The structure failed at the bottom where there was a major load transfer truss between the newer WTC7 structure and the sub-station it was built over. When the support there went, gravity pulled the rest of the building down, from the inside-out. Of course, there are differences: the debris field wasn't nearly as carefully placed as you would like in a demo; also there were no visible or audible explosions from cutting charges.
I say looks like a CD, because that's the only way to describe it in figurative language. We don't have any other similar thing to which to compare it. But it's still just a figure of speech - a comparison - in this case, a simile. It's not literal. For instance, if I was trying to describe a Boeing 757 to you, I might say that it looked like a DC-10. That doesn't mean that I think that it IS a DC-10, I'm just using comparative language that I hope you can relate to to describe it. And, to someone who isn't an expert at identifying different types of planes, that's a pretty valid comparison.
To someone who is an expert, my comparison may seem innacurate because they're aware of the more nuanced differences between the two. I think that's the root of your misunderstanding.
You can honestly look at the collapses of the twin towers and really think that it was a case of floors falling vertically downwards on each other?
Hypothetically, see if the official story said they believed it was explosives... visually would you be convinced?
Or would you maintain your expertise and contend that is was truss sagging and structural failure?
Bolding mine, there. I honestly don't know how you could draw that conclusion from what I wrote. I'm serious. No idea. I was answering that same poster's own question, to boot. Because they asked.
Here's another:
The whole purpose of looking into things - investigating - is to challenge your initial assumptions and attempt to prove them either correct or false. Therefore, it's not uncommon to have to "change the story". In fact, you should do it, if the story is proven false. If we didn't do that, we would still be teaching theories like the flat earth, the 4 elements, and man's inability to fly.
There was nothing to theorize. They'd already seen the exit hole. There was no nosecone sticking out of it.
If you were standing in front of an open door would you theorize that there was a gorilla standing there if there wasn't?
I'm honestly confused by your reply. I don't know what point you are making, or even if you are making one. You are saying that they saw the hole and that there was no nose cone in it? Therefore there was nothing to explain it?
If I saw a hole in the wall of the gorilla pen at the zoo, and I knew that a gorilla had reportedly escaped earlier that day, I might theorize that the hole was made by the gorilla, even though I didn't see him at the hole.
I was going to say you have taken my words out of context, but I realized you've gone way beyond that. I never asked you anything about any hole in the wall of any gorilla pen. You just answered a hypothetical question I never asked. You just created your own hypothetical and answered it as if you were answering my question. How about answering the question I actually DID ask?
Your analogy was not in any way analogous, so I substituted my own, which was more fitting. I'll try to use yours, though.
QUOTE If you were standing in front of an open door would you theorize that there was a gorilla standing there if there wasn't?
I WOULD theorize that, if there was a dead gorilla a few paces away and a bunch of animal control agents running about, and gorilla fist-marks on my door. I would theorize that there HAD been a gorilla at my door.
What would you theorize about the gorilla, or even the pentagon wall?
Had been? Reread the question. You seem to have a hard time comprehending.
Now, I'm not really sure how to respond to this guy or his retarded analogy. I tried correcting it so that it was more relevant to the discussion in the thread, but that didn't work, so now I'm considering trying to 1-up him with irrelevant ones. I'm considereng asking him:
If a giant meteorite made entirely of diamond came crashing to earth and landed on your house, would you theorize there was no such thing as diamond?
If your bowl of vegetable soup got cold, would you theorize that the Yoda wasn't actually a Jedi, even though he was?
But I dunno, I'm kind of having writer's block this morning, not feeling all that ridiculous, so I'm open to suggestions.

Speaking of logic, I like this one.
In a thread (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=2231) about the "power down" of WTC 2:
Wartrac correctly observes:
Has there been more than just Ben Fountain and Scott Forbes that has come foward about the shutdowns? I keep hearing these names over and over. With the population of people working in the towers you would think there would be more people saying this.
and gets this "logical" answer from westprog (surely not the westprog of this forum):
