The forum
http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php
tells me :
"you do not have permission to view this board"
The place seemed to be crawling with sceptics, so I was speaking pretty freely.
Is it up the creek or have I been banned? Seems very unfair <sob>

I'm getting the same message. I think the site's down. This happened a few weeks ago, too - it lasted a day or two.

Geez, I just went over there to browse a bit and I had to register to help Killtown avoid a major blunder. He was JAQ'ing about why the FDR's last recorded altitude for Flight 93 was ~2,000 ft, and about 9 seconds of Google "research" by me revealed that the elevation of Shanksville is listed at 2,230 ft.
I hope I haven't become tainted somehow.

War With Iran On March 28th?, Line in the sand (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=2130)
mynameis notes that "someone" predicts the war with Iran will start on 28/3.
His source:
A senior Russian parliamentary official and leader of the ultranationalist Liberal Democratic Vladimir Zhirinovsky believes that a U.S. attack on Iran is inevitable, he has told Ekho Moskvy radio station.
“The war is inevitable because the Americans want this war,” he said. “Any country claiming a leading position in the world will need to wage wars. Otherwise it will simply not be able to retain its leading position. The date for the strike is already known — it is the election day in Israel (March 28). It is also known how much that war will cost,” Zhirinovsky said.
Mosnews (http://mosnews.com/news/2006/02/07/vzhiriran.shtml) of 2/2/2006
It's Zhirinovsky, and it was last year, but these are probably details only a left-brainer cares about!

The amount of question dodging is staggering. I was asking some Snake_Plisken guy if he had any physical evidence of bombs and he spouted some nonsense about it being a covert op. I got a similar response from another guy.
He also said that linking sources to his assertions was 'pointless'.

Hi!
Yes, I did. He was one of the worst people on the forums (intelligence, and debating ability wise), and boy is that saying something. When I told him about some of the lies in LC, he called them 'poor writing', and whenever I asked him for sources on assertions he made, he either dodged or mysteriously disappeared from the thread.
What ticks me off about the LC forums (and 9/11 CTs in general) is the high and mighty approach they take to debating - some of them seriously need to get off their high horse.

Its part of the troofer definitions: 'Covert Op' = Magic.
Usage:
Troofer: So Silverstein and the CIA decided to take advantage of the governemnt CD's by planting some explosives of his own in WTC7
Sane Human: Wait...how did he set up and place enough explosives to bring down the building the same day?
Troofer: It was a covert op.
Sane Human: Wait, that doesn't explain away the impossibility of planting enough explosives in one day, let alone how these explosives were silent, and they were planted in a building that was on fire.
Troofer: Dude! Covert op! COVERT OP!

Vladimir Zhirinovsky is bats**t insane. For example in the 90' he wrote a book about hes plans. I read the book back then and it doesn't fall short of Mein Kampf. He wants to expand the Russian "empire" to the indian ocean and ofcourse invade countries that in hes opinion are part of Russia like Finland. Vladimir ofcourse would be the leader of this loving new Russian empire as he explains in hes book. He's a megalomaniac or worse though looks like hes rise to power didn't go as smoothly as he fantasizes in the book.

They won't ban us skeptics on sight as long as we don't say anything, ah, skeptical. They want us to just stay in the closet, as it were.
Does that mean one day a year, we can go out on a "Skeptics Pride" parade, where we all dress up as scientists and Sherlock Holmes, and shout, "We're here, we think, get used to it!"?
Although it would be nice if we could rhyme....

Oh Dylan.
Dylan, aren't you going to check that Roxdog's "bullet in the head" threat before you get confirmation about "Mark Robert"'s identity? It's totally irrelevant if "Mark Roberts" is Mark Roberts. What's important is that Roxdog made a deaththreat to an actual living person, Mark Roberts of NYC.
What kind of board are you running here, Dylan? You ban skeptics for no reason what so ever but ignore things like death threats and Rei's swastika banner. Instead of asking Rei to remove her offensive banner, you remove my post in which I asked her about it.

Because, like Avery, all of the supporters there are so invested in their paranoia and hatred (the Government, the Joos, pick a scapegoat, plenty to go around) that it's easier to hide behind a public face than to change.
As the "leader," Avery gets what he wants: supporters, enough sycophants that he can convince himself that he's doing A Good Thing. As "followers," the rest of that rabble get what they want: someone to believe in who reaffirms their selfish agendas.
All of this machinery greased, of course, by money and its attendant promotion. I'd love to get a look at Avery's accounting.
Still, though -- "I'll make you disappear"??? For a group that claims to oppose fascism, even I'm surprised to see such an obvious page taken from Stalin's playbook. Not that they have any teeth, mind you.

As others have pointed out, they warn of a coming police state in the United States, and then proceed to implement one on their own board.
Thanks to everyone here for all the great debunking work you've done; I think perhaps one of the reasons for the quality of information found here is precisely because this forum does NOT limit debate, which then in turn limits the opportunity to debate, judge, weigh, and accept or reject hypotheses on the merits. Information on LC seems to be evaluated simply on the basis of whether or not it makes Dylan Avery and his movie look good.

Okay, as a result of this thread I finally went to the LC forum to check it out. I am fascinated to learn that the CBS eye, the Medal of Honor, and McDonald's arches are proof that the U.S. is in the hands of the evil Satanist Jewish Nazi world-dominating dictators.
More to the point, something that those of us to went to colleges in Texas OTHER than the University of Texas have always suspected is true: those Longhorns belong to the devil. You can tell by the fact that they TRY to slip that diabolical hand gesture by the rest of the world as an innocent school-spirit "Hook 'em Horns" sign.

Apparently, they didn't learn the lesson from the last melt-down either.
Many going to the LCF want to discuss and ask questions about the events of 9/11 and the evidence/investigation, and learn what happened that day from all sides and with an open mind. When they see any discenting opinion or evidence being squashed, many will be turned off and go to another site (hopefully this one), or get banned when they ask a sensitive question. I brought this up in a thread on LCF where Avery was posting and got banned.

And we can add to the list that nice kid "Silver Shadow" the Muslim, who helped me with the tricky "prove it was Muslims who did 9/11" challenge, and mild-mannered "Mailman".
When you said "join the gone club", It triggered an old memory:
Rand introduces Charlie to Yeoman third class Tina Lawton, but Charlie is only interested in Rand and brushes Tina off. Kirk, doing his best to instill Charlie with manly qualities, attempts to teach him how to fight using some curious mallet objects. When Kirk's training partner Sam laughs at one of Charlie's falls, Charlie makes him "go away." This demonstrates to Kirk and Spock that Charlie has the power to manipulate matter. Kirk calls security guards to escort Charlie to his quarters, but Charlie objects and causes all phasers on the ship to vanish.
Like Charlie, and other practitioners of police states, when Dylan feels threatened or embarrassed, he simply makes people go away.
Nice trick, but will it endure?

Well, you can add me to the list of "banned from LC for no apparent reason". (I was "A Very Sly Denial"). No prior warnings. No breaking the forum rules. Just "poof", I was banned. It was obvious that I was a skeptic over there, but I never resorted to name-calling or insuts like the regulars at LC.
Although I did have a knack for killing threads by asking obvious questions. In a thread about how expensive the rents are in the new WTC7, the troothers were fawning all over each other about greedy ol' Silverstein (because Silverstein "obviously" was making so much money off of 9/11). I simply asked how much money Silverstein actually netted on 9/11. Not one person has answered. Not one.
If I had to guess, I'd say Killclown was the force behind my 'bannination'. He was continually made to look silly, and his only responses were to flee the thread or whine to the admins.

Check out page one of the thread where KT shows his ignorance when he ties to read a simple altitude graph (he actually thought that the slope of the graph is equal to the angle of the plane!!). CharacterZero was too kind and let KT off the hook so quickly - I definately would have let KT keep ranting just to highlight his ignorance.
I think I sealed my fate though when I questioned KTs remark that the crater looked like it was caused by an impact of 90degrees. I asked him what a 40deg impact would look like. He still hasn't answered.
I wasted too much time on the Loose Change Forums. They definately did me a favor by banning me.

Just curious -- given the resurgence of Gestapo-like behavior at the "Loose Change" forums, how is our sometime-friend Russell Pickering reacting?
As I recall, he was one of the stronger figures in the board's recent incarnation, and he spoke out (quite correctly) against policies of crushing any and all dissent.
Any idea how he's reacting to the sudden change in policy? Or is he one of its victims as well?

A few pearls of error/irony/projection from the article:
There's one thing the debunkers don't like to talk about: the hard scientific proof. (oh, the projection)
In peer reviewed research and experimentation, Jones has shown that the molten metal could not be aluminum from the planes or the building's structural steel. (oh, the errors, on many levels)
Cartoon:
Little boy: "Hey Pop, My history book says President Harry S. Truman said, "Once a Government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." [ignorance]
Dad: "Shut up, boy.....Go to your room!" [you're goned!] (oh, the irony)
And of course the big question: Is Steven Jones OK with his picture and opinions being sandwiched in between glossy photos of hard-core sex acts?
After seeing how he has no problem misrepresenting photos and quotes in his "peer reviewed" paper, and having the gall to claim peer reviewed, I'm thinking the answer is an easy yes. I wonder what his wife would say.

Dr Jones work has risen to level it deserves. In Hustler his work would seem peered reviewed, and now the guys who did review his work are in the proper journal setting. OMG, there is going to be a whole new set of nuts unless the Hustler readers are smarter than Alex Jones and Charlie Sheen.

Pdoh was convinced that I was Arkan Wolfshade. Last time I checked, it was on the first page of the Skeptics forum at LC called "A Question for A Very Sly Denial". He was convinced of this, yet his entire belief was based on the fact that I used "<>" to express "not equal to" and so does Arkan - Pdoh's idiotic logic is not limited to 9/11. (My JREF identity could have easily been figured out in about 15 minutes. Maybe 5 minutes if the LC search engine actually worked.)
Of course, that was before his "enlightening".
Since he reversed his stance, he was actually pretty vocal against the truthers (yet, he maintained that the JREFers were horrible folks). He always butted heads with Killtown, but after his 'coming out' he and KT went at it quite a bit more.
Considering Pdoh's behavior, I never fully believed his 180 degree turn regarding 9/11 (and honestly still have my doubts). His new posts on the LC forums almost parroted the posts that folks made to him here, and I wonder if it is all a big game to him - it doesn't seem to really be about 9/11 for him, it is more about being the winner in an arguement and he realized that the truther arguments were weak.
Just my two cents.

I was given a 7 day suspension after I said William Rodriguez lied about being the last survivor of the north tower. I even listed the survivors. They admitted I was correct but wrong to call Rodriguez a liar. Guess they can't handle their star witness being dishonest. Sometime during the suspension (and I could care less when) they decided to start banning willy nilly and my suspension became a permanent ban. Got a badge for me Oliver? Suspension and ban all rolled into one. Doesn't that defy the laws of physics somehow or does it blow and suck at the same time?
Can anyone check over there for me to see if my 30-day suspension has turned into a ban?
I can't even view the forum, so I believe that my entire city's public library IP address has been blocked from there.
Should that rate a special badge? A city of 200,000 can't access their forum from the public library!

used to ban one of my providers access-points once because

I dunno for sure, I'm not too smart about this kinda stuff.
It's quite easy for ten branches to share an IP. The network that links all the branches together will use private IP addressing (RFC1918 (http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc1918.html) is the technical description of this). What this basically means is that all the workstations and other devices on the network will have IP addresses that are not reachable for the Internet - they'll use these addresses to talk to each other.
If a workstation is trying to access the Internet, its packets will be forwarded to the default gateway which will be a router or firewall with an interface on the internal, private, network and another interface which is connected to the Internet and has a single public IP address. This gateway device uses Port Address Translation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_address_translation) (also known as IP Masquerading or Overloading) to rewrite the source address on the IP headers of packets arriving at its internal interface, from their original private address to the public IP address of its external interface. It then sends them out of its external interface. It also adds an source port entry to the header so that it can translate return traffic (ie from the Internet) back to the correct internal IP address.
The practical upshot of all this is that all users appear to have the same IP address.
This is standard practice, as it conserves the number of public IP addresses that are available. Any organisation with multiple users is likely to have a single IP address for Internet access.
So, if anybody gets IP banned from a library or a college there's a fair chance that the whole library or college system (or at least a chunk of it) will be banned.

Why does LC reward real dumb (except pdoh, you can not have a liar lie about converting even if it is a lie; irony) people?
If anyone at LC was to accidently research anything on the LC video they would be banned if they shared their revelations. How do you keep your posters so dumb Dylan? Dylan are you 28th?
Dylan, how can you lie on video? Are you worried about your mom seeing it?
Oliver Stones was going to do a movie on the LC gang but even Charlie Sheen can not act dumb enough. (Alex Jones can!)
So when will my friend be banned? The irony is hard to see when my friend posts; they will not see it. Censor that Dylan.
I see they let Gravy post. He is good even when some idiots ask him off topic junk. Gravy is a good thread topic keeper; but Dylan tries to change the topic as he is caught in a lie; about every post.
The LC forum; not exactly freedom of speech or thought. Wonder how long it will take if I go to be banned?

How fitting it is that the "truth" movement has ended up in Hustler Magazine, for could it (the "truth" movement) not be described as a type of political or ideological pornography?
The thought that your political/ideological enemies, be they neocons or the "left gate-keepers", are complicit in the crime of all time is so lustfully delicious, that it becomes reality in your mind. You don't dare allow common sense or mundane engineering formulas to creep in and corrode your fantasy, which has your enemies brought to justice due to your hard investigative work on Internet forums.
There's never any real human contact, like actually going into the office of a relevant engineering professional, and asking him to lunch so as to find out his opinion on the matter -- that would be too scary and threatening. There might be ridicule and rejection.
Steven Jones apparently doesn't dare call up William Manning to ask him his current opinion about what brought down the towers, and put that in his report along with his other 5 year-old cherry-picked quote, because well, that might just spoil the fun.
The "truth" movement seems to be filling a void in certain people's minds, but unfortunately the likelihood of any of their fantasies turning out to be reality is about the same as mine are about Hustler Honeys January thru December.

On the subject of 'skull and bones' Roxdog leaves a steaming pile of:
Samuel Russell: In 1823, Samuel Russell established Russell and Company for the purpose of acquiring opium in Turkey and smuggling it to China. Russell and Company merged with the Perkins (Boston) syndicate in 1830 and became the primary American opium smuggler. Many of the great American and European fortunes were built on the “China”(opium) trade.
But fails to point out:
Modern prohibition
There were no legal restrictions on the importation or use of opium in the United States until a San Francisco, California ordinance which banned the smoking of opium in opium dens in 1875. The Opium Exclusion Act of 1909 prohibited its importation. Other important legislation included the Harrison Narcotics Tax Act of 1914. Before this time, medicines often contained opium without any warning label. U.S president William Henry Harrison was treated with opium in 1841. Countless miracle cures contained opium, which of course was the reason many of these were so successful, since people started taking these cures because they made them feel good. Opium was even touted as an alcoholism cure, evidently to the wives of alcoholics. This would be because an opium addict, capable of supporting his habit on about 5 cents a day, would likely be a more suitable companion for a wife—being placid and calm, mostly—than an alcoholic husband. Today, there are numerous national and international laws governing the production and distribution of narcotic substances. In particular, Article 23 of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs requires opium-producing nations to designate a government agency to take physical possession of licit opium crops as soon as possible after harvest and conduct all wholesaling and exporting through that agency. Opium's pharmaceutical use is strictly controlled worldwide and non-pharmaceutical uses are generally prohibited.
Opium poppies are popular and attractive garden plants, whose flowers vary greatly in colour, size and form. A modest amount of domestic cultivation in private gardens is not usually subject to legal controls. The dried seed cases are often used for decorations, and the small seeds themselves—which contain negligible amounts of any opioid alkaloids—are a common and flavoursome topping for breads and cakes.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium#Modern_prohibition
Quest further advises:
You do understand that the Skull and Bones society was founded on the heroin trade, do you not?

Well my reasoning is that :
Sleepy comes across as a good hearted buffoon. He/she manages to dream up some whacky schemes to increase the visibility of the truth movement, but always seems to end up cocking it up and pissing people off. Classic COINTELPRO game plan.
Killtown is playing a more subtle soviet style disinfo campaign by giving the truthers some nuggets of plausible info but at the same time wrapping it up with a whole load of crap which just makes them all look stupid. It's a finely balanced game but pretty much a win-win scenario for us, since if they accept him and his info then the disinfo is getting through, and if they don't then anything of real merit he presents is tainted by the disinfo which has been exposed. Nice one!
h8bush....hmmmmmm jury is still out. Could be a cunningly planned COINTELPRO agent acting like a juvenile idiot....or might just be a juvenile idiot. Time will tell.

Someone please tell me that "related" thing was
a joke of him. :boggled:No, no, it's not a joke.
It's a classic in woowooland.
For example:
April 22 2004
The Democrat’s president candidate John Kerry is related to King Harald of Norway, and according to one expert, royal relation ensures that he will win the election this fall.
Not only did Kerry live a couple of years in Oslo during his youth, he is also related with the Norwegian King, according to Harold Brooks-Baker, director of Burke’s Peerage, the «bible» of the European royal families.
«He is not only related to the Queen of England on his mother’s side, but also to the Queen of the Netherlands, the Queen of Denmark and the King of Norway, and other European royal families,» stated Brooks-Baker. «Even Princess Diana was a distant relative.»
And it is precisely Kerry’s connections to the royal families that may ensure him the victory in this falls presidential election, according to Brooks-Baker. According to the expert, the candidate who has the most royal blood pulsing in his veins has won every American presidential election since the time of George Washington.
Also President George W. Bush is of blue blood, but not as much as Kerry. Bush is a descendent of Edward I of England.
Prisonplanet (http://www.prisonplanet.com/Pages/220404_blueblood.html)As usual, predictions quoted or made by Alex Jones tend to not come out! :)

Well, if no one died and there was no one to rescue from the rubble...WHY DID THEY MOVE THE FREAKING BUILDING BEFORE FIGURING OUT WHY THE ***** IT "COLLAPSED"??? It seems to me the best way to figure out why a building fell is to study the building, but what do I know....

Yikes, there's a thread about an 8th grader who is doing a speech/presentation about Do-Over and Loosewiththetruth. On the one hand, this conjured up images of South Park and the Mystery of the Urinal Deuce, with this kid in the role of Kyle.
On the other hand, it simultaneously saddens and infuriates me that twoofers are feeding their garbage to children.

It's a famous person speech?!?
Dylan: "Ooo, yeah. Stroke it, highwayman. Stroke it real good!" (His ego, you dirty people.)
edit: It's a golldang infomercial, not a biography. Highwayman, as a presenter, is the definition of "shill".

Nothing like triple posting (declaring victory in each post) and then getting debunked in 5 sentences.
Nice job Gravy!
For the LC Forum impaired:
Into the FAA's, no. Into other radar screens? Yes. Specifically, at NEADS, the same one that you claim was running NO exercises on 9/11.

Powell's question—"Is this real-world or exercise?"—is heard nearly verbatim over and over on the tapes as troops funnel onto the ops floor and are briefed about the hijacking. Powell, like almost everyone in the room, first assumes the phone call is from the simulations team on hand to send "inputs"—simulated scenarios—into play for the day's training exercise.
"When they told me there was a hijack, my first reaction was 'Somebody started the exercise early,'" Nasypany later told me. The day's exercise was designed to run a range of scenarios, including a "traditional" simulated hijack in which politically motivated perpetrators commandeer an aircraft, land on a Cuba-like island, and seek asylum. "I actually said out loud, 'The hijack's not supposed to be for another hour,'" Nasypany recalled. (The fact that there was an exercise planned for the same day as the attack factors into several conspiracy theories, though the 9/11 commission dismisses this as coincidence. After plodding through dozens of hours of recordings, so do I.)

FOX: I've never seen so much real-world stuff happen during an exercise.

NASYPANY: Think we put the exercise on the hold. What do you think? [Laughter.]

—I think this is a damn input, to be honest.
So let me clarify. The FAA had no inputs, NEADS did. And, NEADS was running, and I quote, a traditional hijacking scenario exercise.
So, Mark, the following claims you make below:
"1) NEADS ran no war games on 9/11. Reggie got that wrong when he claimed I said that no war games were run at all.
2) No hijacking drills whatsoever were run on 9/11."
You are wrong on both points. NEADS was also participating in Vigilant Guardian.
That'll be one twelve pack of Rolling Rock. Let's see you twist your way out of this one.
I'm sorry...what was that, Mark?
I think I just proved you wrong above.
Apparently he's REALLY proud of himself
Wait...wait...what was that, Mark? NEADS ran no exercises at all on 9/11?
That's a joke, right?

As Major Kevin Nasypany, the facility's mission-crew commander, drove up the hill to work on the morning of 9/11, he was dressed in his flight suit and prepared for battle. Not a real one. The Northeast Air Defense Sector (neads), where Nasypany had been stationed since 1994, is the regional headquarters for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (norad), the Cold War–era military organization charged with protecting North American airspace. As he poured his first coffee on that sunny September morning, the odds that he would have to defend against Russian "Bear Bombers," one of norad's traditional simulated missions, were slim. Rather, Nasypany (pronounced Nah-sip-a-nee), an amiable commander with a thick mini-mustache and a hockey player's build, was headed in early to get ready for the norad-wide training exercise he'd helped design.
To complete the triple post. It appears that he can hardly contain himself.
Try again, Dylan.
The exercise was scheduled to start at 9:00. One hijacking exercise was scheduled to be run after that.
For a second, when the FAA reported the flight 11 hijacking, several people at NEADS thought the exercise was off to a surprise early start, including Nasypany. It wasn't, as the FAA controller immediately made clear. It was real world.
No exercise, no injects. Just a real hijacking.
If you don't believe me then I suggest you speak with Nasypany.
It's very, very disturbing that you don't know this.
I'm off for the night.
How long will it take Dylan to realize that the planned exercises were cancelled, not conducted?

I think he has problems with the concept that "were going to be run" is different from "were run".

Dylan put it in his signature to show the world his amazing victory over Gravy:
Mark Roberts: NEADS ran no war games on 9/11. No hijacking drills whatsoever were run on 9/11.
Kevin Nasypany of NEADS: "When they told me there was a hijack, my first reaction was somebody started the exercise early," The day's exercise was designed to run a range of scenarios, including a "traditional" simulated hijack. "I actually said out loud, The hijack's not supposed to be for another hour"
Mark Roberts: No, I said, no exercises were run before 9:00 AM...
Honestly, what grades did he get for high school english?

I give Mr. Avery an "F" for comprehension skills based on his misinterpretation of the quote he uses in his signature.

I just got banned for questioning it * rolls eyes* bunch of fricken 5 year olds argueing over lollies.
My question was they are implying that Nasypany is lying or covering up something and that the operations went ahead (the terrorist attack) without them actually saying it, but rather implying. Intersting to note they see trying to catch Gravy out on what he may or may not say as more important then whats actually being said. You guys know what I mean.
God dylan, grow up, banned for that? Please...

Maybe you couldn't read Mark's original statement correctly.
He said NEADS ran no exercises, and that no hijacking drills were scheduled for 9/11.
NEADS had a hijacking drill, scheduled for 9/11.
Just because it was allegedly called off at 9:00 AM doesn't mean it never existed.
Dylan either has severe reading comprehension issues, or is just very dishonest.
I believe that Gravy stated that no hijacking drills were run on 9/11.

IVXX, your reading comprehension is lacking. About Reggie's signature I said
1) NEADS ran no war games on 9/11. Reggie got that wrong when he claimed I said that no war games were run at all.
2) No hijacking drills whatsoever were run on 9/11.
(bolding mine)
Dylan's signature is a beacon to either his intellectual incompletence or dishonesty (possibly both).
Why do the truthers buy into Louder Than Words when their leaders repeatedly demonstrate that they are dishonest and/or have severe reading comprehension issues?

The original comment follows:

False. The U.S. ran no exercises that simulated hijackings on 9/11. In addition, NEADS ran no war games or drills at all on 9/11. Please do your homework.
