Interesting Uri Geller documentary here (http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=-3808127202802795184&q=uri+geller). I haven't finished it yet, but so far I've learned:
Geller started his career as a model (for cigarette and deodorant ads, among others).
At Geller's wedding, Michael Jackson was his best man.
Jesus Christ and George Bush have 11 letters in their name. Geller's clocked showed 11:11 while the film crew was shooting. "Coincidence?"
He lost his faith in science when an unnamed government agency asked him to kill a pig using his paranormal abilities (I think this was coverred in the excellent book, "The Men Who Stare at Goats."). I wonder how he would have reacted if the "scientist" asked him to kill a Canaanite?
Memorable quote from Geller: "I am not a miracle worker."This may be a bit light on the skepticism, but interesting nonetheless. Sorry if this has already been posted.

I love it when they use the number of letters in someones name to prove something. For instance, "George Bush" have 10 letters, "George W. Bush" have 11, and his full name "George Walker Bush" have 16 letters. Let's just choose the number that fit our needs shall we?

"Uri's a wanker" also has 11 letters. Make of that what you will...

You'll all stop being so glib when he owns his own country.
Yes, no one will want to set foot in the Urination.

You have no idea:
Uri Geller: The Number Of The Fleeced (http://www.skepticreport.com/psychicpowers/uri11.htm)
On his web site, Uri Geller has a list of things he connects with the number 11. He believes this number to be all-important. E.g. he attaches meaning to the fact that some people have noticed their clocks sometimes show the numbers "11:11". Read why Uri thinks Harry Potter and Jesus Christ is involved in the World Trade Center attacks.

Well thank you very much RS
You owe me a new keyboard!
Actually that's the funniest thing I've read in a while - the perfect tonic for somebody who's trying, slowly, to recover from a very bad headcold!
Thanks again,
YBW

Follow up to Geller's "friendship" with Jackson:
Geller 'ends Jackson friendship'
19 January 2006
Celebrity spoon bender Uri Geller has ended his friendship with Michael Jackson over anti-Semitic comments he allegedly made in 2003.
Geller told BBC Radio London's breakfast show that, if the story was true: "I don't want to hear from Michael Jackson ever again."

There was a wonderful moment in the UK version of "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here" with Geller a couple of years ago. He took some time out to send his pal Jacko some psychic best wishes and positive vibes on his (Jacko's) birthday. Unfortunately, for all his psychic powers he got the wrong day! :)
