I bought a book that professes to teach palmastry. I am going to learn how to read palms. If you scan your Right Palm in I will do a reading and test the books accuracy. Of course in some cases I will give the opposite reading just to see what happens.

Is palmistry really all that easy to learn? Wouldn't it be easier just to sample various palm readers in your area, and test what they say?

So far I am 6% correct which is better than professed psychics! What is the 6% based on? I did a reading on myself!

I discovered my lines reveal medical problems which I have. My lines claim that I am going through a period of change which is good cause I don't want to have medical problems forever. Very vague stuff.

It's cheap, and it contains an article about how to do cold reading.
You can also look for information on the "Forer Effect." Around 1949, Forer published a paper on the use of flattering statements to convince someone you know about their personality. For example, if you tell someone "you are a loyal friend, you like to help people, you are strict but fair ..." most people will recognize themselves. http://www.skepdic.com/forer.html

Someone read my palm once. Apparently I'm already dead, but I'll get married three times and have lots of children.

A scan of a hand will be less than useless, in palmistry terms.
You need to be able to judge the size and shape (and possibly the "pudginess" IIRC) of various mounds - or some such crap.

I live in Florida and have some palms in my yard (lots more just in the neighborhood). If you find them fascinating to read, come on down!!

In my teens (long years ago) I decided to study palmistry. Books from the Library showed me how to tell death by drowning and other gloomy prospects, but there was a man who called himself Cheiro whose books were much more positive. I used to read people's hands occasionally and it certainly livened up a party at times.
I still find it fascinating that all palms are different, but am sure that there is a scientific answer to that.
