I think that you and I have a totally different take on what constitutes proof or evidence.

As this link fails to prove anything, I choose to dismiss it.

Keep trying Sparky

The article seemed to say that Yahweh and Allah are the same dudes. Do you agree, Billiefan?

billiefan, are you able to read threads as well as start them? I notice you rarely respond to the criticisms of your posts.

http://bpnews.org/bpnews.asp?ID=16217 I don't understand this post. What does REVELATION 3:16-17 say, and what has it to do with the supplied link?

Compare to the title of the article:
CBF presenters: absolute truth claims -- break down; imperil religious liberty
Billie, what??? How in the world is the article related to those passages? Do you ever read either source (Bible or article) before you post either? There is no connection!

Yahweh and Allah are not the same "dude"... I have a much fairer complexion.

I guess that is a sign of the end times, a babtist behaving reasonably.

Has it ever occered to you , Billie fan that maybe gods doesn't care for your little rules, he cares if you live a good life, .

Billiefan, Jesus did not speak nor write the book of revealations, so it could be deception.

Get over it, the second coming was Pentecost, the new age os here, and we are in heaven dude!

Hell no.

Allah means Moon GOD or Devil.

To say Yahweh and Allah are the same is lie and only the stupid folks in society would say they are one and the same.

So you smugly posted an article you don't agree with? I'm confused.

I'm operating under the theory that Billiefan is about 14 years old. (Judging by the misspellings, word misuse, and juvenile thinking) Billiefan is either a girl OR a boy.

Billiefan is probably from the South, where many great idiots are known to copulate and produce other smaller idiots.

This hit-and-run tactic is her/his way of doing the Lord's work and spreading the Gospel.

From NIV- apparantly Jesus' words, Jesus instructed John to write to the Church in Laodicea (one of 7 churches John was to write to).

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were either one or the other!16 So, because you are lukewarm - neither not nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth.17 You say 'I am rich; I have aquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked.

Billiefan, it is up to you to draw the connection between passages in the Bible and things happening in the world that you claim proves we are experiencing whatever you percieve we are experiencing.

What is your concern? CBF is tolerant and states Allah is not significantly different from the Christian God.

and

... this debate, for instance, that's been going on this year about Allah being a different God than the God of the Bible. Let me circle back to brother Jerry Falwell and note that he and others have gone to great pains to make this distinction that Christians and Muslims are not talking about the same God. This is, in my view, either ignorant or disingenuous or maybe both on the part of these people," ...

I say good for CBF

If that makes CBF lukewarm in your view then have demonstrated for CBF

that notion that when we think we have God in our heart ... [we] know what God wants ... for everybody else. Then I think you can show historically that you have at least the potential for a disaster waiting to happen because you can literally justify almost anything at that point...

Billie fan:

yahweh, allah and god , they are all the god of Ibrahim and therefore all the same god.

Or are you now denying the revelation to Abraham, the Islam faith is from the seed of Ibrahim.

Revelation 3:14-19 "Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen--the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation:

"I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! You say, `I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. I advise you to buy gold from me--gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference."

This passage you site was written for the church in Laodicea. Laodicea was the center of commerce! It reeked of wealth. The church had become caught up in wealth and materialism. This letter was written to bring them to their senses.

How does that relate to the article on the website

HEy, I'm prejudiced against southerners too, but that still seemed a bit harsh.

And I was a hell of a lot smarter, kinder, and literate when *I* was 14... I'd put billiefan as either older than that and hopelessly brainwashed/retarded or much younger and maybe his older brother does the typing.

Thank you for posting this to give us the context Ruby:)

I wonder if Billiefan will consider context though?

No, probably not. A lot of Christians don't pay attention to context. Plus, they try to make everything symbolic!!:con2:

My theory regarding christians making things symbolicly is as follows:

By selectively declaring certain things symbolic and taking other things literally they can make the Bible fit any preconception they want. If they take certain pasages literally and others symbolically, they can make the bible support an ultra fundamentalist fire and brimstone version of God. If they reverse it, they can make it support a new agey, peaceful, touchy-feely sort of God. With a bit of effort and selective interpretation, they can make God look and act however they want him to look and act.

I think this accounts for a lot of the popularity of Christianity; it is very easy, using this method, to justify nearly any behavior as "God's Will".

Scribble,

I grew up in the South. I've seen the heartbreak of little redneck children having to share an eyebrow.

Billiefan, you're obviously not a Christian. You CLAIM Christ, but you ain't got it. You're trying to make Jesus into something He is not, and frankly, I think that's sad.

You have once more proven yourself a coward, a buffoon, and hateful. Please, just shut up. You're making life nearly impossible for the rest of us who HAVE accepted Christ, and who love Him for who he is. :hit:
