I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about Morris Goodman, the so called 'Miracle man', who appeared in the film 'The Secret'.
Everything I've read about him so far is vague and sensational, lacking in specifics, and lacking in relevant detail - aimed to impress those who don't think too deeply. All the websites associated with him, seem to be sensational, and trying to sell things.
According to what I've read, he recovered from an accident which, according to doctors, he shouldn't have done (Which doctors?, and why? - Seems to be aimed at publicity rather than an honest portrayal of all the relevant details). He 'rebuilt' his body, by positive thinking, and doctors called him the 'Miracle Man'. Apparently, he is now in great demand as a speaker.
After watching the film, I wanted to know more details about the man - exactly how did he cure himself - Why wasn't he supposed to get better - Was he really unique?
It was disapointing that every websie I looked at, seemed to be Hard-Sell.
Maybe I've got the wrong imporession, but does anyong here know any details about what he did? Was it that amazing, or a publicity gimik, so as to maximise his business? - which unfortunately is the impression I get,
unless anyone knows any different - and I'm not going to buy his book to find out.

Here is an amusing article on the fellow:
http://www.cbn.com/700club/features/amazing/morris_goodman071806.aspx

Apparently, his accident was that he was flying a plane, and it got caught in some electrical wires. He was unable to move any of his muscles but his eyelids. It sounds to me like he had just a bit of control left over them, and he simply exercised them until he regained motor control. Certainly no small feat, though.

Here is an amusing part of the article:
“It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in God, but it was kind of like I let God do His little thing, and I did my own little thing. But I think the accident in retrospect was probably the best thing that ever happened to me.”
So he was a gigantic success in the real-estate business, and had lots of money and a great family. Then the accident occurred, and it took him 2 years to regain control of his speech functions. And the accident is the best thing that ever happened to him?! :)

Also:
I’m very thankful that I didn’t die at the time of my accident ‘cause I don’t know where I would be today.
I'm pretty sure that if he died in the crash, he would be dead today :)
