It might certainly have left Dubya in a better light as far as history goes. :)

:D IIRC from the last few days, it's now more kind of Republicans and Democrats vs. Bushco and a few endangered Republican holdouts.:D

The US did win the Iraq War, which was fought to overthrow Saddam. That went just fine. (Didn't you see the sign, "Mission Accomplished!"?)
The problem was that after the war was won, the US didn't have a clue as to how to create a new democratic government from scratch in a country that had never known democracy. It is a country that was an artificial creation of European colonial power, made up of groups of people who at best have a strong dislike of each other.

Shrub would still be a lying puppet of Rove and Cheney - but the deluded might still vote for him/his heir as opposed to the current possibility they'll grow a pair.
