I just heard some news on the radio about an American citizen "Chuck Brown" who is now on trial for allegedly being an accomplice to the JI terrorist bombings in Bali. The trial is being staged by an Australian Millitary Tribunal on Christmas Island, which no unlike camp X-ray is out of Australian jurisdiction, so no American attorney can get near him for any legal representation, in spite of the fact he may not be involved in JI at all.
He will face the firing squad if he is found guilty.

LOL Chuck Brown is fictitious Just a little bit of tongue and cheek there. I just wonder how would G W Bush react it the Australian Government put an American citizen on trial with the same lack of legal representation as David Hicks in Camp X ray?
I will paint of hypothetical situation where Chuck Brown is a real person. Would it be possible for the Australian government to incarcerate him try and execute him even if he is a guilty as hell?

Yes. Let's face it: there are Americans who have been executed for drug offenses overseas, in countries where drug posession laws are a hell of a lot tougher. And there ain't a hell of a lot the State Department can or will do to help.
For an American involved in terrorist activities, I can't imagine the State Department getting involved at all.
