i was at the anti-war march today in dc. there may have been 100,000 people. some good speeches...some sillyness...but what i found partically absent was a huge crowd of 9-11 deniars. I guess "50%" of the nation doesnt agree with them after all.
yes, i did see a few random "reinvestigate 9-11" banners and t shirts...but there was no large contingent of the nuts. thank god.
maybe if the 9-11 deniars stay in their parent's basemants we can actually bring the troops home.

Every day, one sees dozens of things that disprove every Truther belief--in this case, the belief that "everyone is waking up." But the guys just can't put two and two together. They will go to their graves believing they were the only ones in the world clever enough to see the secret plot.

and, simultaeneously, that the majority of Americans agree with them

I don't have time to say much now... I'm going out in a minute.
But here are my pictures:

The troofers were along 3rd St, near the National Museum of the American Indian. There were about 1-2 dozen of them, among tens of thousands of anti-war protesters.
I was handing out small pieces of paper with web links to anyone who stopped by, anyone that got loose change, etc.

Looks like everyone else was giving the troofers a wide berth, lol!

The truthers mistakenly interchange the concepts of "popular" with "widespread". The "truth" movement has definitely become widespread, in almost every modern country, but within its area of coverage, it is far from popular. The reason they mistakenly mix the two up, is that every time they read an article, or see a video, and see that there are a few hundred "believers, their minds read it as "OMG look how popular the movement is". The problem, is that the article or video is like honey to bees. Of course the faithful will flock to where the news is being made, but that is it, that is all.
Case in point, the DC rally mentioned in the OP. Sure, you went, you saw the truth, a few banners, perhaps a hundred or so people. ANother example, GZ in 2006 - 800 to 1500 people showed up. Now to you and I, this registers as a VERY SMALL MOVEMENT. Any popular organization we can think of could gather 10x that amount in a heartbeat. The "truth" faithful, however, see this as the massive increase in the movements "popularity", as opposed to its disemination/canopy.
Edit: I would also add that the twoofers consider anyone curious enough to watch their videos one of their faithful...lol

Okay, I'm home but going out again in a few minutes... But, have added descriptions, titles, ... to my pictures.
When I got there yesterday, the size of the anti-war crowd was intimidating at first. I thought maybe since these people dislike bush so much, some might be receptive to the truthers. However, after not long, I found out that's NOT the case. People would come by where the truthers were and I'd hear them say things like "oh, I've heard about those theories. the conspiracy theories are so stupid." I had no problem handing out my small pieces of paper with the 911myths and other links.
There were two guys that stopped by who had choice words for the truthers. Not sure but maybe Parky76 was one of them? Did you stop by these posters? One was a younger gentleman, and the other was an older gentleman and military veteran.
I took a little bit of video of this exchange with my digital camera - it doesn't hold that much but might post it. (unfortunately, my camcorder is going in for warranty repairs, otherwise I would have more video) Still photos don't do justice, the way video does in allowing you hear them speak.
Anyway, the truthers were very small in number, in contrast to the overall size of the crowd and had very little effect. They were very unimportant. Taking them on here, was not difficult, and the broader anti-war crowd was receptive to me. They seem to be well-educated and knowledgable about world-affairs and about 9/11, and know the theories have no basis in fact.
