Just letting you guys know that I put my ctc password up on bugmenot so it can be used. I pay for it so you don't have to. :)

No, I am not a woo woo. My husband works nights and sometimes I have a hard time falling asleep, and this works well. Also, it is entertaining to keep up on what people are thinking. I have Dr Laura as well on bugmenot, but she makes me mad rather than put me to sleep.

I am debating buying Air America. If I do, I will put it on bugmenot, too.

It won't last up there, Clear Channel will pull it.

They do it all the time, they did it with the Phil Hendrie show.

Why would they pull it? I paid for it...it is mine to do with as I wish.

If anyone here wants it, they can PM me and I will give it to them.

No, it isn't -- it's a violation of their terms of service, which you agreed to when you created your account. From the Restrictions section:

As a condition of your use of the service, you agree to use it on only up to two computers in your control. You further agree not to email, post, or otherwise disseminate any the user ID, password, links, or other information which gives you access to the streaming subscription service. You further acknowledge that should you violate these conditions, your subscription may be terminated without notice, and you may be held responsible for damages caused by your actions.

Hmmm...then I take it back.

I will remove it from the other site...still, I don't think it is fair. They make money through advertising, and they could run ads on their online service and keep it free. I have to pay for it instead, because I can't get it clearly on my AM radio. If I pay for a CD, I can do whatever I want with it, so I don't see the difference.

If I pay for a CD, I can do whatever I want with it, so I don't see the difference. You can't (legally) make copies of the CD and give them to all your friends, and you couldn't upload the contents of the CD to a public server for all to download.

With the caveat that I don't listen to C2C on a regular basis and am usually disinterested in tinfoil radio programs -- I can't get a clear AM signal where I live from KLBJ (http://www.590klbj.com/), the local affiliate that airs the program, but can listen online to the live programs for free. There are numerous affiliates around the country offering streaming audio, so you can listen to C2C from your choice of available outlets.

RSL has already noted that you cannot do whatever you choose with a CD; I'll further point out that the key difference here is that the C2C streamlink service isn't just a means of listening to their live programming, but provides access to an entire library of past shows. They have to pay for the hosting space, extra bandwidth, and their time for recording/uploading the previous programs along with whatever related expenses. That's why they charge fees for the service, and it's unethical to redistribute your account information, at their expense, so that others can access subscription services for free.

just download Penn's podcasts and save yourself a subscription.

Indeed. :)

I generally only tune in to C2C if they have a credible guest on (and that's a short list) addressing some sort of wooČ silliness... Phil Plait, Dan Durda, Seth Shostak, etc.
