Touring a Caterpillar factory in Peoria, Ill., the Commander in Chief got behind the wheel of a giant tractor and played chicken with a few wayward reporters. Wearing a pair of stylish safety glasses--at least more stylish than most safety glasses--Bush got a mini-tour of the factory before delivering remarks on the economy. "I would suggest moving back," Bush said as he climbed into the cab of a massive D-10 tractor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caterpillar_D10). "I'm about to crank this sucker up." As the engine roared to life, White House staffers tried to steer the press corps to safety, but when the tractor lurched forward, they too were forced to scramble for safety."Get out of the way!" a news photographer yelled. "I think he might run us over!" said another. White House aides tried to herd the reporters the right way without getting run over themselves. Even the Secret Service got involved, as one agent began yelling at reporters to get clear of the tractor.
A Caterpillar D-10? Wasn't that what Useful Idiot Rachel Corrie was too stupid to get out of the way of?

In the cause of being a Useful Idiot -- look at the uproar that Caterpillar itself had to endure, as the supplier of the "murder weapon".

Useful Idiot? LOL! She died, didn't she?Yeah. That's what usually happens to people who try to stop bulldozers with their chests. If that isn't idiotic, then someone must have redefined the word while I wasn't watching.

Yep, nobody other than a real moron would do anything like that...

I had to look the woman up (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Corrie), but that's cold.

She was killed when she tried to obstruct an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Caterpillar D9 bulldozer operating in a Palestinian residential area of Rafah, next to the border with Egypt - an area the IDF had designated a security zone and which contains a network of smuggling tunnels connecting Egypt to the Palestinian side of Rafah.
Useful idiot, or a human shield who demostrates that sometimes the human shield ploy gets you killed? It is a risk she was willing to take. She rolled snake eyes. If her aim was to become a martyr, she rolled an eleven.
If I start jogging along the DMZ, a North Korean might shoot me, it being a designated security zone.

I think the Darwin Awards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darwin_Awards) are hilarious.
I don't think putting yourself in harms way to stand up for what you believe in applies. Apparently neither did the people at darwinawards.com (http://darwinawards.com/rules/).
Maybe you think soldiers who are killed in action or by IED are eligable for Darwin Awards, too? (Yes, it is absurd strawman, but so was your post.)

If her aim was to become a martyr, she rolled an eleven.I'm guessing the former and I agree that it was a risk she was willing to take. I'm saying that even if you don't agree with her cause, it is disrespectful and cold hearted to call her an idiot and subject to natural selection. I'm guessing she had to know what she was getting in to, as you say, and her actions were not an act of idiocy.

Bush Attacks Press Corps With Bulldozer
An attack with a bulldozer is a noteworthy change in tactics, since Presidents usually bombard the press with bullsh**. :p

“The immature man wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mature man wants to live humbly for one.” Wilhelm Stekel (http://www.worldofquotes.com/author/Wilhelm-Stekel/1/index.html)
In some places, the word "humbly" above is shown as "humanely." I think "humbly" works better. I can't find the source, but the idea is still a good one.

Oh, sure, DR. Why don't you just bring the conversation back on topic.

Well, not this president. He usually just drizzles it on the press, if at all.

This is a perfect example of Bush's homicidal nature. At least this guy didn't try to run anybody over:
