According to Maxwell a device that can change thermodynamic equilibrium is demonic. Recent studies have shown that in every most households the inside of the refrigerator is lower than the ambient temperature of the room! Scientists claim that this is not a violation of the 2nd law of thermodynamics as a refrigerator consumes energy to do this. But does this stop us using talking about Maxwell's Demon the end of physics and household appliance possessions. Apparently not.
