Ah, Billiefan, I knew you wouldn't disapoint. You are nothing if not predictable.

However, people have been doing foul things since the dawn of civilization. People will probably continue to do foul things up until such time as we no longer exist as a species. Even if I believed in the rapture I wouldn't take one heinous act as anything more than just another heinous act.

I got news for you

People have loved pleasure more than any of the many gods that man has created since the beginning of time.

It sounds real good in the church, synagogue, mosque or whatever but as the song says, "when we get behind closed doors ..............

My mother has a story that she is fond of telling about my niece. My niece was about 22 at the time and a mother of one (its up to two now)

They were having some conversation about the differences in their generations and some of the different mores that seem to arise with time when my niece blurted out "But that was before sex was popular".

My mother just looked at her amusedly. I don't even have to relay her answer - you can imagine.......

Billiefan, you are as naive as my niece.

You know, when WWII ended, everyone got laid - marriage - morals notwithstanding. It must have been the end times then also.

Ever read about the raoring 20s. The 60s were milk toast by comparison.

In ancient Roman brothells, one can still see the paintings on the wall - the advertisements - for the ladies. Every specialty was depicted - Do you think oral sex is a thing of the new age??? I thought so when I was naive.

What is really telling is that all through high school and college, I had this avid interest in archaeology and mythology and not once was I ever clued into the sexual aspects of these cultures until later in life, doing my own research.

I think it says a lot about how we shelter our children from the realities of life - so much so that they think they are the only ones who have a strong sex drive - that their generation is in the know about sex unlike those that went before - that sex wasn't popular before.

It is time for you to grow up. Sex hasn't changed. We just talk about it more.

One more thing - you trot out some extreme aberration and say that this indicative of moral decay.

You can find bizarre atrocities everywhere in everytime to support every stupid notion. It is an invalid argument.
