Then they got a flat tire soon after leaving the crime scene,
Then they robbed a tire store while the store was working their flat tire,
Then they fled the store driving the car which still had a flat tire,
Then they were caught by a group of police officers helping with a recent train derailment.

And now they are both in jail!

Give them a bit of time. When they get out (I'm guessing 60 days) they'll be better educated.
