I have followed this a little bit. This is Sam's latest response. Sam Harris and Andrew Sullivan are two decent men and this is how two decent and honorable men should debate.

I read Andrew's blog daily because he is one of the few honorable and intelligent conservative thinkers out there. And as a librul and an atheist I think it's important to hear other points of view. Their debate is a pleasure to read.

I'd agree Sullivan is more Conservative than ObamaHilary, but on balance rather left of center.

I was corresponding with a friend about this debate. I said that Andrew conceded the debate when, after Sam described the kind of thing that would make him believe in god, Andrew stated there was nothing that would shake his faith in god. Nothing.
So much for reason. As Sam said, if he were at a dinner party, this is where he would ask Andrew, "So, how are things over at The Atlantic?"
