From emails I am receiving, it would appear that the interview I taped for the Penn Jillette Show is playing today.
It looks like it should be streaming in about an hour (2pm PST) on the San Diego link from this page (http://penn.freefm.com/pages/189239.php).
At some point, it will be on the archives on this page (http://www.pennradio.com).

Well, I couldn't get the streaming audio to work, but my fiancee tells me it was indeed me on the show. Guess I'll have to wait for the archive!

It will appear tomorrow morning on iTunes, so I shall be listening to your dulcet tones while I trudge away on the treadmill.

Good show. Gets a little heavy on the topic of John Edward.
Penn: "I don't think I've bumped into anyone on the streets that believes these people in the last few years ... Do you have contact with people who believe in her."
Rob: "... They are people who went through a horrific loss ... they hope if she is right they will meet their loved ones later."
...
On health,
Rob: "She has referred to people as her patients."
What school does she claim to have a degree from?

What school does she claim to have a degree from? She never specifies, which is of course a red flag.

I listened to it this afternoon while cleaning my kitchen. It didn't last long enough for me. When is Penn having you back on?

Too bad you recorded this before you heard from her lawyers. That woulda made good radio.

Too bad you recorded this before you heard from her lawyers. That woulda made good radio.Yes, with Penn's stance of Freedom of Speech, I'm sure he would have had a lot to say!

That was a great interview. It's odd putting a voice to a post on a message board. Congrats!

RSL, you are incredibly quick-witted. I mean, holding your own with Penn, now THAT's impressive!
A very good show.
Penn: Talk about the times she's right.
RSL: Could you tell me what time that was?
BWA-HA-HA!

Heh. Penn's comments about skeptics who post on John Edward fan sites. "Bottom submissives".
OW! Hey! What's up with that?

Good evening RSLancastr.
It was a pleasure to listen to you on Penn's show. Your points came through and you stayed on point. That is a great skill. Someone else could have been distracted and got silly , but you stayed on topic. Well done. This is the the way to bring Sylvia down.
I'm green with envy at your skills.

I listened to the podcast on my commute home tonight. You did a really nice job, very informative. Your compassion for the victims of Sylvia and her fellow predatory con artists really came through in a very impressive way.

Can't add anything meaningful except a "I second the above quoted posts".
I just googled Sylvia Browne, and the result was a pleasure. The first two search results were her own site, number three was wikipedia, number four was RSL's site, followed by quackwatch and Randi's Sylvia Clock, next is YouTube titled "Sylvia Brown screws up again", and even FoxNews is listed with "TV Psychic Misses Mark on Miners".
With the exception of her own site and the link to wikipedia, nothing but outspoken critical sites or articles. How cool is this? If I was Sylvia and would get such a Google result on my name, er, I'd get a face lift :D

I'm downloading it now since I subscribe to Penn's podcast through iTunes. It appears from everything that everybody has said that I'll enjoy it. I'll listen to it later tonight or maybe tomorrow afternoon. But it's there and it has your name on it, so you're iTunes famous! :gasp:

Yep, a little Flash animation I made with the well-known vomit-smiley added, and then exported as an animated GIF.
Isn't that great?
I just hope that in English "to google Sylvia Browne ... was a pleasure" does not have any latent ambiguity I am unaware of :o

I caught the podcast today, not knowing what it was going to be about (I listen to it almost every day). When Penn introduced you, I was thinking Robert Lancaster... Robert Lancaster... hmm... and then he said "stopsylviabrowne.com" and I went PING!
Cool show. Well done. Could have used more monkeys, but none of us are perfect. ;)

Wow. Very comprehensive, and you were allowed to speak, and spoke so concisely. The coverage was amazing, the points you brought up were dead on. Not only that, but I was reminded of a time where I was able to be more patient with people who believe liars like browne. You talk about how you were able to explore why people believed, how they took something to mean something to them, etc. It was great for you to talk on that, and we could all learn more about that from you.
I look back to my first person to person encounter on the internet. It was 3 hours of writing back and forth with a religious person about evolution on a chat. I wish I had that kind of time on my hands nowadays. Anyways, I answered a lot of questions, and we parted amicably. Can't say I turned him around on evolution, but I think I was able to convince him that evolution was not simply a conspiracy to take down religion and corrupt the world's population to be evil.
There is a place right at the end of the show where the radio host says there's a vaccine for uterine cancer. Actually, more precisely, it was for cervical cancer (against the virus-HPV, that causes cervical cancer). As you pointed out though, medical science had already announced plans and were testing on this starting years, years, ago.
Awesome listening, thank you!
