Batman sighting in Arizona Middle School

Batman was spotted at an Arizona middle school jumping over a fence and running into the desert. Upon this being reported the Middle School was on lockdown out of fears the Penguin might be in town. Restrictions were eased on Batman's assurances.

Perhaps this is why many of the newer school building classrooms in AZ don't have large windows. Eventhough the Phoenix area doesn't have snow that some elementary child might go into a fugue over, there could be Batman sightings! :lol2:

These could become an outbreak. I'll report here if there are any sightings in schools at which I sub.

When I was about 9 or 10, our school janitor reported seeing gnomes on the school roof and in the woods that fringed the school.
All the kids in the area started scouring the woods in search of gnomes.
The story was taken seriously because it came from an adult.

No gnomes were found, though we turned up some other neat stuff.

The Janny was known to take the odd drink. The Monkees were big at the time and half the kids in the area (self included) wore wool hats of some kind, often pointy or bobble topped. The school roof was flat and footballs periodically landed up there , requiring an assault in force via the drainpipes. Whether he saw a bunch of kids in wooly caps one evening and the demon drink affected his vision, we will never know.

I can still remember the infectious excitement though. I was less sceptical about some things back then.

Well Batman was on mutual aid to Arizona from Gotham City since NY was snowed and iced in.

I'm sure the concept of a school on "lockdown" is something that could only happen in America.

So 3 different schools were "locked down" because someone was seen leaving one of them?

What would they do if someone was seen actually arriving at a school in Arizona?

Activate the statewide scuttling charges?

I don't know about anyone else, but I regularily had Spiderman run around my school for a period of time.
