A new member posted this link over in " Computers etc.. "
Why I don't believe in God (http://egatley.home.comcast.net/why_i_dont_believe_in_god.html)
Note, it says: " Why I don't believe in god.."
Not " Why you shouldn't believe in God... "
I enjoyed it.. I thought it was pretty coherent and entertaining...

Gotta agree with ya. Pretty interesting.
I'll have to remember this page. Thanks for posting it.

I'll repeat what I said over in the Arts forum...
Its nothing remarkable.
Some of the reasons are based on bias rather than rational logic and/or coherent psychology.

And I'll repeat what I said...
I'd be interested in seeing more work from the 15 - 18 year olds you are familiar with..
I'd be even more interested in seeing your original work.. Do you have a Web Site?

I hope Eric joins in on some of the discussions here..

It was a great article!
One thing I hate about internet is that anytime I have a thought or opinion about something, someone slaps up a web-page that expresses my feelings far better than I can. Dang, I feel worthless.

I looked around the site, I retract my "15 - 18 year old" statement. Apparently the author is going for some "Industrial Design degree". And yes, I have several websites... all of them are also very amateurishly designed and the content is poorly written... maybe my standards are too high...

I was just trying to understand why you were being so quick to criticize?
The author didn't seem to be trying to ' convert ' anyone. Just saying how he felt about some things..
I thought some of the paintings were very nice..
As I said; I hope Eric will join some of the discussion here.

That site looks pretty good.
This is not directly related but since we´re giving out sites;
http://www.atheists.net/
I think this is the most "furious" site on atheism I have seen.

And here I thought "for the same reasons I don't believe other cartoon characters are real" was good enough.
Why don't you believe Wakko Warner is really locked up in a water tower?
The day may come that the Warners return from their tower, and seek you out, and make you their "Special Friend"!
Can you risk this fate? Believe and WORRY with us NOW! Join us that we may plan how not to have lit dynamite stuffed in our pants to the tune of off-key music.
We of the Tower Watch are born again to warn the world of this sticky fate. We interrupt your saturday morning cartoons to let you know! And spread our "Wake Up" pamphlets to people we roused from bed at 6:40 in the morning.

I linked to the same article at a different board frequented by college football fans, called The Bucket (http://insiders4.ezboard.com/ffloridastate19007frm29.showMessage?topicID=18317. topic). I even used the same disqualifier, and it generated a very interesting back and forth.

I like it.
His reasons are very good and well thought out, I doubt it would convince any devout theists though.
