Are there any moves or sleights you're trying to master at the moment?
I'm finally practicing a standard coin matrix, after years of mostly just cards.
p.s. I bet Randi drops in on this forum from time to time.:randi:

I've been practicing a little memory stunt.
A subject shuffles a deck of cards and removes any number of cards from the deck. Removal of between five and twenty cards is pretty good. I do not see what cards are removed, nor do I know how many cards are removed.
I am allowed to look at the remaining cards ONCE.
I then identify the removed cards.
With a little practice, this is actually pretty easy to do, but the technique would take quite a while to explain.

Brown,
Is this the method that Harry Lorraine teaches? I use it and it works very well.

An effect of mine I've called The Anywhere Aces, which I've recently revised a bit after I got burned. Usually it bowls people over, but it's a tough one to do.
Basically the Aces are shuffled into the deck, and a spectator names any four numbers, in ascending order, between 1 and 40 ("to keep it short")
The deck is then cut ONCE, and counted one card at a time, face-down onto the table. As each number named is arrived at, the card is turned and revealed to be an Ace. Each Ace is put face down on the table after the discovery.
For the blow-off, the balance is ribbon-spread face down, and the whole thing revealed to be an "illusion". Spectator turns over the aces, which have transformed into indifferent cards.
The balance is then flipped over to reveal the Aces randomly distributed through the deck, "where they were all along"...

Oh, and I'm still trying to get that dratted boomerang card thing to work.
I just can't do it!
