I need to do some geophysics programming and need to install FINK on my mac (an ibook G4 running the tiger operating system) in order to do so. I've tried downloading the program several times and am having great trouble getting it to install.
I have relatively little experience with UNIX or X11, so any help in general is welcome!
Thanks!

Go to versiontracker.com and get "finkcommander". It will make things much easier.
You also may need to install the developer's toolkit if fink needs to compile anything. If you don't have the system disks handy, you can get this from the apple website.
