since they can no longer provide any new material, they have to resort to criticizing their critics.
ETA: Jeez from that article, you have to wonder how much more they can twist someones words.
James? pat? care to comment?

I love it. I found it on Myspace because some woo there posted it.
Man they can't even recognize sarcasm when it hits them upside the head.

I'm Pat. It was not I. Jones claimed on the show that we did this to build up traffic to our blog, but obviously the same person who created the fake Nico Haupt blog did this; same MO, same "apology" for past sins.

...Jones claimed on the show that we did this to build up traffic to our blog...
If Bush were assassinated by OBL himself live on national TV, Jones would claim Bush did it to himself just to boost his popularity.

Brainster...in light of recent developments a name change to Benedict would be a good idea :D

I'd like to learn the truth about some of the shadier methods of debunking.
Um, just so I can tell when someone else is using them, of course.
Respectfully,

It gets better. Jones got into the part about my supposed split with James at about 45 minute into the first hour. And he suggested that I'd better call in because I was in grave danger.
Hahaha--aaargh!

This is a strange episode, I hate when the truthers grasp into these and try desperately to make them really big issues. I am not very familiar with your blog. Is James someone who writes in this board too?

They have updated their story.
"UPDATE: The question why a "9/11 truther" would choose to act as an imposter for somebody else and deliberately bring negative attention to themselves and others is puzzling. Though this story is now confirmed to be a hoax, the reasons behind it remain suspect.
For people accusing us of falling for and proliferating a hoax, remember that the mainstream media reported on the San Francisco beheading (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,128314,00.html) as genuine within minutes of them receiving the video, and that too turned out to be a hoax. We're all trying to get to the truth here and we will issue retractions when we are led astray."
EDIT: Ah, this was already reported in the other thread :)

Good thing you came an confirmed that this story was false. Because everyone in the Debunker world knows that whenever a debunker turns into a truther we'll send our secret ninjas after them.

They pull this nonsense and then have the nerve to claim that the BBCcouldn't possibly jump the gun in announcing the collapse of WTC7.

The Beeb could have confirmed their story by looking out the window while checking a map. But since there are no windows in Paul Watson's bunker, he could not possibly have looked out and seen the real Pat. His only choice was to publish and let the chips fall where they may.

Problem with that is, refuting them would be a full-time job, and there's no money in debunking, unlike making up paranoid crap, which always seems to find an audience.

Well its not quite a screw prisonplanet but there is a site called infowhores which im working on.
It was a tossup between calling it poisonplanet / infowhores, and I thought infowhores was a more catchy name.
I could happily do a screw prison planet section on it though :-)

I always thought that the "Screw Loose Change" name was cool because of the double meaning, both totally fitting.

Poisonplanet and infowhores are both great names, and very fitting. Looking forward to seeing your work :)
