--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was just informed by a fellow atheist who monitors/lurks the http://christianbbs.com
that some of their members have been contacted by The Army of God http://www.armyofgod.com/
and asked to go to my amazon.com book (Christianity Exposed) page and post slandering reviews to discredit the book.
For a while now I was receiving strange and threatening emails from some 8 different christian fanatics and I believe they may be part of the AOG group.
If anything should happen to me at least someone knows/has an idea what may have happened.

Holy hell, don't go to that Army of God site if you've recently eaten.
These hypocritical psychos are obviously dangerous. Too bad their boy got nabbed in the North Carolina woods not to long ago.

Some of the reviews praise the book... others want to burn the book. Nearly all the reviews are based on "I dont like christianity" or "This book knows nothing about Christianity". Most the reviews are more or less very bias. If this book is in hardback (and I can find it for less than US$35), I will definitely add it to my library.

Strangely, the same thought occured to posters on another messageboard where AW.C has recently started posting. Spooky coincidence, huh?

[5 stars] HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!, January 29, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from Knoxville, TN United States
This book is very well written, easy to understand. It is a real threat to Christianity because it is factual, well researched
and written so that even a 12 year-old child can understand it and make sense of it.
I have read many books written by atheists and against Christianity, and this is one of the VERY BEST!
In this book Mr. Tulbure covers every single subject and claim of Christianity and exposes every contradiction found in the Christian Bible. I highly recommend this book to every human being!
[4 stars] Good Job, October 17, 2001
Reviewer: A reader from Las Vegas
I would have given this book 5 stars, but because of the spelling errors and grammar errors I can't.
The other 4 stars are for excellent work on taking Christianity at its word by "leaving no stone unturned" as Paul said.
Mr. Tulbure managed to explore and expose all of the Christian doctrines in a simple and easy to read form. He gets right to the point on each doctrine, explores the Biblical verses and shows the flaws, contradictions and deceptions.
I am impressed!
Yeah, watch out for spelling and grammar errors. Although those really shouldnt matter (if theyre uncommon), most people will tend to turn those errors into some kind of attack on the books credibility.

this book is nothing but total spin!!!
lies from the great deciever himself..do not support this brainwashing trash! alluminati(satan) just wants to make you think you are a free thinker but you are just being dumbafied to the point that you will be totaly controled LIKE a puppet..
the bible is nothing but truth. test the prophecies in daniel about him revealing the kings dream. head of gold symbolises first world kindom of babylon. silver chest symbolizes 2nd was the meids and persians. brass which symbolizes greece the 3rd world power. 4th was the iron legs of rome. feet are the clay mixed with iron meaning rome is divided, which is now divived europe.which will never cleve again and it hasnt. iron and clay can not bond. alexander the great, napolian, hitler ect.. all tried to unite europe but failed. you wait and see europe will never be under one rule again!! n.w.o and u.n is as far as they will get..nice try alluminati dreamers!! so look at the history books and see if this prophecy of world kingdoms did not happen in perfect order.. bible is full of fullfillment of prophecy. and finaly the stone that comes from the sky that destroys all the invisioned statue. symbolises god will set up a kingdom forever, never to be overtaken. all this was prophecied before it happened. also jesus never was never to come the FIRST time to establish a kingdom. the 2nd time he will come to do that. the bible is so clear on this its unreal people just do not want to except god and as creator and lord of all. jesus came the first time to die for our sins so we would not have to die eternally, and thats what jesus did simple as that..wages of sin is death.sombody had to die god loved his created children so much that he sent his willing son to take our place for death. but god will not see our sins thru the blood of jesus. thats why he died for us.
i will tell you who will be exposed by god thru his faithful. "mystery babylon the great" let me give a hint.. ROMAN CATHELIC CHURCH! the bigest prophecy in revelation that is next to be fullfilled and its right on course. the final prophecy...to learn more check out thisgalaxy dot com...
And this review is an example of what I said a minute ago...

Another book filled with ignorant blather from a man who is ignorant of history, theology and biblical research. His [weak] arguments will convince those who want to be convinced but none else. his claims that Paul originated christianity instead of Christ were so thoroughly refuted in the 1920's by J. Gresham Machen that only the most ignorant person could possibly still put them forward as serious arguments. Go read "The Origin of Paul's Religion" by Machen. That is if your ... brain can handle a book with serious scholarship behind it. ...
I want to know where this person researched his information...
[1 star] Finally someone had the nerve to tell the truth, January 16, 2003
Reviewer: A reader from TX United States
Christianity is an imperial expansionist religion; they seek to convert everyone to their 'faith', like it or not. Here in the south, there is incredible pressure, both social and economic, to profess to be a Christian. Finally someone like Tulbure comes along and tells the truth about this 'religion.'
It is my opinion that the United States would not be in the shape it's in geopolitically but for the 'missionary work' and imperial expansionism of American Christians.
This is a positive review but only a 1 star rating... now I dont know what to think...
[1 star] Jesus Christ never read Ayn Rand, October 31, 2002
Reviewer: A reader from NY United States
I bought this book with the idea that it would reveal some insights into the foundation of the christian faith. What shaped the teachings and how they differ from the modern day teachings of christianity.
I was very disappointed With this book. It is on the whole garbage. The author reverts to calling Jesus [simpleminded]simply because the teachings found in todays gospels or what pass for the teachings of this figure called "Jesus" don't agree with what he believes to be the all encompassing truth of the universe. In particular the teachings of our lord and savior Ayn Rand.
As a former christian I must say that if the christian gospels (who ever wrote them), don't correlate with the teachings of Ayn Rand then that in and of it's self does not prove them to be false! It also does not mean anyone who disbelieves the Almighty(Ayn Rand) is [simpleminded]
I really doubt this person is telling the truth about their identity... I'm sure they were a former christian...

Now I'm confused - you don't state that you're the author but this sentence implies it. If so, you're doing a bad job of keeping a low profile.
On the other hand, if we can't have Salmon Rushdie on board here, at least we now have our own little soap opera to keep us entertained.

This website (http://nodeity.com/tulbure.html) alleges that Solomon Tulbure, the author in question, is none other than the JREF's very own AtheistRevolution.
If true, that's hardly a positive credential.
Regardless of whether Tulbure is AtheistRevolution or not, I get the impression that he's nothing but a crank. I can't say I'd be in a hurry to read anything written by him, and apparently I'm not alone: I searched the LEXIS news library database without finding a single press outlet anywhere in the world that has bothered to review any of Tulbure's books.

AtheistRevolution! Of course! I've been trying to remember his previous name for ages. I even visited the AR forum a couple of times (where 40% of all posts were by one user - guess who), but then it all seemed to disappear from the face of the web. He still owns the URL but it doesn't resolve.
Didn't AR claim to be way up high in the ranks of the Illuminati too? Couldn't he use his connections to make all 8 of those Christians "disappear"? :)

Good call ceo_esq. Atheist Matchmaker is part of the AtheistWorld.com site, so it's a reasonable assumption that the information on the page to which you linked should be taken into consideration when dealing with our "newbie".
I think I'll share your link with the good folks at the SDMB. Thanks for the heads up. :)
Edited to add that it seems someone has already shone the light of illumination (http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=3727741#post3727741) on Max over at the SDMB.

The post contains commercial advertisements or spam.
-Note: this does not mean that people cannot reference commercial ideas, but merely that one may not use the Forum as a literal market place to sell for-profit items.
Spamming is the multiple posting of items just to annoy or attract attention. It is not the same as cross posting to a relevant thread. The forum administration reserves the right to make a final determination as to the legitimacy of a ‘commercial’ post.Well, it's up to hal, et al., to make the call.
I went to amazon.com and looked up the referred to book, "Christianity Exposed", and paged through the reviews. I saw no evidence of the orchistrated slander campaign to discredit the book that AtheistWorld.com claims there is. It's my opinion that he concoted the story to get people to go over and check it out and that this would count as commercial advertisement.
But that's just my opinion.

I rememberd the dude, and the nude guy and girl on his site, but I didn't remember his past name. LOL Now I got it.
I read the board on AR for a little bit. IIRC there was a thread about teaching kids how to date each other in highschool!
They better have a fine teacher for the heavy petting class.
