Just thought I'd lighten up the Politics forum a bit.

I had the TV on yesterday evening but I was half asleep when this sketch came on. I first thought "wow, this guy is doing Tony Blair really well, must be the one from Dead Ringers". Only after a while I realized it actually WAS Tony Blair.

He pulled that off beautifully.
Is that show scripted, or is it extemporaneous?

Comic relief did quite a lot of sketches so it probably was.
I liked how they had Tony saying "Am I bothered?" rather than Tate, I didn't expect it at all. And it's good to see a politician with a sense of humour.

I wish Will Ferrel's version of GWB was our president. More so than he already is I mean. http://www.transbuddha.com/mediaHolder.php?id=1147

Someone e mailed me the link to that a couple of days ago, but I only got round to watching it today.
Utterly amazed to see Blair not only has a sense of humour, but also impeccable comic timing. Fancy a politican being able to act!

Sorry, that girl is not funny, i couldn't bare more than 10s of her, i had to close it.Me too. I've never been able to sit through a complete sketch of hers - she sounds like a hamster on speed. I caught a bit of the Tony Blair sketch - watching a 53-year old Prime Minister and international statesman get all hip and down wid der kidz made me cringe.

i thought he came across pretty well....to be honest i'd rather have a PM up for a laugh than one who took himself and his "international statesman" image too seriously

Ah, but the cynic in me says - who suggested to him how cool and hip he'd look by doing it?
Supporting such a noble cause.... Sense of humour.... Probably worth 100,000 new Tories...
