When is it?

And are there any other Australians who are thinking of attending?

In my dreams...

We really should try to organise some kind of Sydney/Canberra JREFer get together before Christmas, though.

I am interested in seing what you discussed in your previous meeting, which were the topics, etc ... where could I find those things?

I searched this forum but I couldn't find anything, obviously I have to blame it on my inability to swim in an ocean of threads...

Thanks!

Cleo, I'd love to meet you and Renata there! Do you think you could make it?

** male audience holding breath **

:D

And Denise. I can't believe I have never met Denise! There's something wrong with this world.

Yes there is a 90% possibility for me to be there :)

Needless to say that the true reason for my coming there is not to meet you people but to feed the crocodiles...

I'd LOVE to meet everybody :)

Yes, I am looking forward to meeting all you people. Luciana, Cleopatra and other skepladies...do you think men will realize there will be lectures there too? :p

Don't forget to stop by LA before or after!

Edited to add - before I get scolded for assigning impure motives to the wide variety of wonderful people, male and female who will attend TAM, please know I was kidding!:)

You were assigning impure motives? I thought they were a prerequisite.

Might I be so forward as to suggest my own essay on TAM 2003 (http://members.cox.net/electric_monk/TAM2003)?

Thank you very much.

You know,Michael Shermer's book, "Why people believe weird things" was -finally- translated in Greek. :) After a lot of "backstage" and war from the Church...

The Law School schedules a big event about it and since I am the School's "Classicist" I will have to write something about Ancient Greek skepticism ( The school of Pyrrho, Lucianus etc etc) and its relation to modern skepticism and I wondered if anybody has talked about it in TAM I.

I will keep you informed about this because I think that I will need this forum's help :)

I still wonder if I can find what was discussed in TAM I [ edited to add apart from Electric Monk's account ] :)

Just a suggestion: go to google and type in Amazing Meeting.

I did this and found The Bad Astronomer's summary (http://www.badastronomy.com/fun/amazingmeeting2003.html)
JREF Schedule of Events (http://www.randi.org/jref/conferenceSchedule.html)
A summary by Larry Thornton, edited by Lisa Goodlin (http://www.members.shaw.ca/freethink/JREFConference.jpg/TAM.html)
and more!

Uh, Cleo...

Even if you can't make it there to present it, surely you could collaborate with someone who will be attending.

Oh US, the presentation will take place in the Law School of Athens, I would never dare to present it in TAM :)

Thanks for the links.

Well it sounds interesting. Make sure you post some sort of transcript when all is said and done. :)
