I don't know if anyone is interested in this (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/us/AP-Houdini-Exhumation.html) or not but I thought I'd share it with you.

Here's what they're really up to:
When they open the coffin it will contain, not the desiccated body of Harry Houdini, but a very much alive and grinning David Blaine!
Then, as everyone turns to look at Houdini’s nephew, George Hardeen, he will rip off a wig and mask and reveal that he is actually... the wizened and wrinkled, 103-year-old Harry Houdini who’s been leading a quiet existence as a hermit in a small Navaho village in rural Arizona for the past 50 years.
He will then drop to one knee with a theatrical flourish and say, “Ta Daaaaaaa!!!”
Top that, Amazing One!:D

2007 minus 1874 = 133 year old. Houdini once again sets a record as the person who lived longer than anyone in non-biblical history.

That was the part that made me spray coffee on my desk.
Too funny...

I was off by only 30 years? Wow, I just pulled that number out of ... well never mind.

Were Houdini's relationships with Conan-Doyle really this bad by the end? I am more interested in another question - one frequently sees it asserted Houdini was an atheist. Was this so? I greatly admire Houdini, and am disappointed to see this going on. Still, if there is real concern, and the family agree, I expect its for the best.
