The song you're trying to link to is "Bin Laden" by Immortal Technique.
Eminem had nothing to do with creating it, asfaik. They just sampled him.

Thats it, I'm convinced. Inside jawb.
If eminem and Mos Def says so, it has to be true, it just HAS to be true.
Also, isn't the term "n!gga" what one black man would say to another in jest? Since when did Bush become black? I guess that Mos Def is about as observant of Bush's skin colour as he is about 9.11.

Woah. That's an unfair generalization. Maybe you composed your message carelessly, because I can't detect any of your characteristic solid logic in it.

Hi! :)
Don't be misled by pagan's ignorant marketing of the song - it's not saying what he thinks it does.
Jadakiss doesn't really believe Bush ordered the towers destroyed -- he says the line is a metaphor, and that Bush should take the blame for the terrorist attack because his administration didn't do enough to stop it.
"They didn't follow up on a lot of things properly," says Jadakiss. "It's the president of the United States. The buck stops with him."
www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,125999,00.html
And I'll go on record saying that Mos Def is definitely not stupid and does not think Bush was responsible for 9/11 in the way that pagan would have us believe.

Gross generalization. Actually, most rappers that aren't JUST rapping about bitch's and hoe's ARE fairly intelligent and have lots of interesting lyrics.

The new Roots album is excellenttt. Black Thought is one of the most intelligent ones. I'm tired of the money/bitch rappers, but fortunately we have many alternatives to choose from.

I fell in love with the film Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (yes I know the book's better, save your keystrokes), and in turn Mos Def as an actor. I thought he was brilliant as Ford Prefect. I'm not a fan of hip hop, and I was actually shocked to discover the guy who played Ford was actually a rapper. I just thought he was an exceptional comedic actor. To learn that he's also a hip hop legend only adds to my respect for him and his abilities. No, I wouldn't put the word "stupid" anywhere near Mos Def's name.
Oh, did I mention I'm lilly white?

1. I'm not a Truther
2. Jadakis is on record saying that he doesn't believe bush directed the towers to be destroyed. The interview I linked to was discussing a different song, but the same topic.
3. We can't take lyrics of songs as declarations of the artist's "real life" feelings.

You gotta be kidding me.
The wording of your reply, "Correct. greyleonard messed it up. Wrong song...." indicates that you were affirming Brainache's rhetorical question, but mistaking me for a Truther & someone who cherry picked lines to avoid dealing with their context. It appeared that you were the one who didn't notice that Brainache was referring to Pagan.
My supplying a link to the full lyrics of the OP song and linking to an interview in which the artist states his actual feelings about the issue doesn't support your assertion that I "obviously like quote-mining", does it? My limited quote of Brainache's post didn't change the intended meaning of his post at all.

Here's one for pagan, from everyone's favorite New Traditionalists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devo):
Pity you
You're telling me you've got a problem
A nervous sort of contraction
A mindless kind of reaction
You never get no satisfaction
Here's to you
I know you really got a problem
A nasty kind of reflection
A dangerous sort of destruction
That makes it difficult
Makes it hard to reach
Takes it all away
From what you had in mind
Yeah yeah yeah
A nervous kind of distraction
A nasty sort of contraction
But there's some big fat point
That you seem to be missing
And it's driving you to destruction
But it doesn't seem
To stop you in the least
Or halt this obsession got you
Going on back
Week after week
Day after day
Hour after hour
From where you came
For more of the same

The greatest rock guitar player ever was Hendrix, none other comes even close. Ok, Clapton was good.
After that all white bands got this complex, not the blacks. They went on with soul, r n' b, hip hop and rap.
This guitar "faggotry" is still present in white bands. It is a common expression, most notable in metal.

Country music? I love country music.
Dan Tyler – Nashville songwriter, recording artist, performer and novelist. His songs have become hits for LeAnn Rimes, Kenny Rogers, The Oak Ridge Boys, Eddie Arnold, B.J. Thomas, Eddie Rabbit, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many others. Author of Music City Confidential (http://www.amazon.com/Music-City-Confidential-Dan-Tyler/dp/1886371369/ref=sr_1_12/102-6860534-7631352?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1175285283&sr=1-12) (1996).
Statement to this website 4/5/07: "The importance of the 9/11 truth movement cannot be overstated. Like me, millions of patriotic Americans question the official explanation of the attacks. The questions and the number of citizens asking them will increase until a tipping point is reached and a new, aggressive investigation initiated.
From this new inquiry truths will emerge which will shake this country to its foundations and, hopefully, restore our constitutional democracy. Until that happy day arrives, however, the powerful forces aligned against 9/11 truth will fight with fury and abandon. We must be strong and resolute and take inspiration from apostles of peace like Gandhi and King. At the most basic level, the struggle is love versus fear.
As a Christian, I pray we are witnessing the last days of the corporate imperial war machine, which, desperate for new battles and the energy resources to power itself, finally went too far and self-destructed in an orgy of lies, chaos and death. This monster’s dying throes will be terrible to behold, but do not doubt the historical significance of the events playing out before us. Future generations will thank those who had the courage to face the dragon and slay it with the sword of truth.
As a songwriter, I turn phrases for a living. I’ll leave you with this one: From seeds of doubt, flowers of truth will sprout. Be strong, brothers and sisters. We shall prevail! "

This is something that's been a dividing line between US and UK music for a generation now. When the Jam played the USA, with short hair and suits, they were abused as "faggots" by people with shoulder length hair and floral shirts. Radiohead are that kind of UK band. Still popular in the USA, though, unlike most other UK bands of the last ten years.

Hehe, no, the aliens in the video aren't directly connected to the lyrics. They complain about how they aren't able to find a place where they can interact with their fellow humans in love because the "sphere of power" is out to divide and separate us all. Not directly connected to anything (is there anything at all?) in this thread but i posted it for Arkan and because i can. And i love the band. They are sooo cute. :)
