Ray Comfort, when interviewed on an atheist Radio Show, was backed into a corner on the banana and basically escaped by saying that the whole banana thing was meant as a joke.
I'm not sure I completely believe him. I think at the time it appeared so obvious as to be silly. Then someone mentioned that Cavendish Bananas, relatively recent arrivals, were carefully bred by humans to have the right size, right taste, and most importantly no seeds. The banana is an excellent example of intelligent human design.

The third video, introduces the pineapple as a counterexample of intelligent design, and finishes with the fact that bananas are actually, as you say, an excellent example of intelligent human design.

Peanut butter and cheese? Never heard of that one, afraid it doesn't sound like a good combo to me. The other two I like however. :)
Last night at work, someone brought in peanut butter and "marshmallow fluff" on some wheat bread. That was a new one too me too. Guess I'm not adventurous enough in mixing different things into a peanut butter sandwich.

I still can't decide if that banana video was a soft porn joke or an idiot evangelical fallacy but just as an aside, the banana is not only cultivated, it originates as a hybrid. It's a cross between [I'll have to look it up] and not the result of direct evolution (or God's first try if you want to go that route ;) ).
Not only is it a hybrid, and cultivated by human selection as mentioned, in its current form it is seedless and has to be propagated by human, not so divine, intervention.
Bananas are the most popular fruit in the world. Members of the genus Musa (part of the family Musaceae), they are considered to be derived from the wild species Musa acuminata (AA) and Musa balbisiana (BB). It is believed that there are almost 1000 varieties of bananas in the world, subdivided in 50 groups. The most commonly known banana is the Cavendish variety, which is the one produced for export markets. (http://www.unctad.org/infocomm/anglais/banana/characteristics.htm)
While the original bananas contained rather large seeds, triploid (and thus seedless) cultivars have been selected for human consumption. These are propagated asexually from offshoots of the plant.... Cultivated bananas are parthenocarpic, which makes them sterile and unable to produce viable seeds. Lacking seeds, another form of propagation is required. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana)

As for intelligent design, here is something for the creationists to think about: If god is against homosexuality, why did he design the rectum and the penis to a perfect fit? And he even made anal sex more enjoyable for the reveiveing men than for women. Is god pro gay sex? Or is that particular part of our body unintelligenly designed?

One more vote for peanut butter and banana sandwiches, a welcome part of the teatime spread at cricket matches when I used to play. (Of course, I more often have peanut butter and marmite sandwiches, but that has a much lower banana content. Is marmite a proof of the divine creator?)

I grew up on peanut butter and honey sandwiches. Mmmmmmmmm......
(But it has to be the thick spreadable kind of honey.)
I think this is a Canadian thing. The only other people I've ever heard mention it were also from Canada, and I've seen it referenced twice, once in a Canadian comic strip and once on a Canadian TV show. Of course, we also like chips and gravy. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm..............

I grew up on PB&H sandwiches -- I still love 'em. PB&H with sliced bananas is even better! Or try PB&H, sprinkled liberally with powdered milk. Yummy.

I also grew up on PB&H sandwiches. This was in the Cincinnati area, so it's not just a Canadian thing. Oddly, my grandmother was the one who introduced me to them. She grew up on a farm in the South during the depression, fwiw.
So will the next creationist food video will either feature honey or marshmellows? Or perhaps jelly or jam?

Peanut butter and bacon sandwiches?
Okay, why not? A friend of mine used to dip his burger into his shake... and just to get back to the original topic of this thread:
This is how evolution in cuisine works:
You experiment with your food out of curiosity, and you try to predict if it'll taste delicious or not.
You made a mistake (e.g. reaching for the wrong herb or spice in your kitchen drawer), it tastes great (but different), and you try to backtrack to the point of error, spread the recipe have it peer-reviewed.
It's not exactly intelligent design, is it? So, one fine day I invented the nougat-creme rice porridge. Mmmmmmh.

I hate McDonalds, but when I'm forced to go, I dip the fries in the shake.
I first did this about 18 years ago and now I see lots of people doing it.
I'm a bit upset about that because now I feel like I have contributed to "the McDonald experience".

Hehe, "McDonalds" seems to be what psychologists call a "preferred model".
Color/red, tool/hammer etc. I could have meant another joint, but yes, it was McD's fast "food".

I'll have to try the PB&PC sandwich. Sounds interesting. My mom used to make cookies whose main ingredient was potato chips...i should dig up that recipe and give them a try again.
Grilled PB&J sounds good, too. What my kids like is a regular grilled American cheese sandwich, with a good amount of brown sugar sprinkled inside before you grill it. Those are GOOOOD....
