Dinosaurs are a highly respectable order - indeed Superorder of creature, who through a series of unfortunate circumstances, happen to be extinct.
Randi has no call to speak ill of the dead and to compare them to the Pope is profoundly insulting.
On behalf of fossils everywhere, I demand a retraction!

Isn't it a question of brains or the lack thereof?

Didn't some dinos have a brain in their butt? Could that mean the pope actually is a dinosaur?

The pope has a brain?
Wait...that reminds me of a joke--
A women gives birth and eagerly asks the doctor, "what is it?"--The doctor replies, "well...your child is a hermaphrodite..."
The women says, "a hermaphrodite, what is that?" The doctor tells her, "that means your child has organs of both sexes..."
The woman pauses and nods knowingly replying, "oh, so you mean it has a penis AND a brain?!"

Nope. He _is_. His position is said to be the position of the absolute truth. And somebody claiming to posess the absolute truth has failed if only one of his claims is proven wrong. The dogma has more than once been proven wrong. It is therefore not existing as an acceptable "truth" anymore. It is dead. It is extinct. Like dinosaurs.
It was _big_ - like Ty Rex. It was _hungry_ - like Ty Rex. It is gone. Like Ty Rex.
But it's fossils wil be there a long time. Harmless. Like fossils are.
Oops, misread your OP. So we agree :) (I doubt that the dinosaurs will care much)

I think Randi's mixed up with the theory that an asteroid hit wiped out the dinosaurs, I mean look what happened to the last one......

Well it was a viscious attack on the head of the inquisition.
I personally liked the use of the terms, woo woo, liar, and fraud.
But the " sir " genuflect in closing, was a little over the top.
