Okay, I want to emphasize that my sympathies obviously lie with Brzezinski here. But Luke is so over the top that I couldn't help enjoying this film, especially the part where he runs from the security (which he ridiculously describes as Secret Service). Those of you who've been around may recall Gypsy Taub's similar Mau-Mauing of Phil Zelikowski and others.

"Security Chasing Luke" Only one set of footsteps and somehow the footage of the "Secret Service" (in sweater vests:confused:) actually trying to take the tape and their actually chasing him was edited out.

Geez, could these guys be more full of themselves?
Now how exactly could he have funded Al Qaeda in 1979, considering they were not founded until the early 90s?

Two other thoughts.....
1. I love the lady that says to Luke, "YOU are scum!".
2. Why do troofer videos have such awful music?

Only about 5 minutes of nonsense:
1. Brzezinkis is speaking at the 92nd St. Y in NYC.
2. Luke blames 9/11 on him during the Q&A, crowd boos Luke.
3. Security (which Luke claims is Secret Service) throws Luke out.
4. Luke claims security chased him for blocks wanting his tape.
5. Luke takes subway home and sports a anti-Fed t-shirt.
The end.

Luke starts out by asking what sounds like a pretty reasonable question about Zbig's prediction that the US might resort to a false flag attack in order to justify an invasion of Iran, and the fact that his book mentions that Bush & Blair considered painting a US Air Force jet with UN colors and using Saddam's shooting at it as an excuse to invade Iraq.
At this point you can sense that the (probably very liberal) crowd is eating it up. But then Rudkowski starts in with the David Rockefeller, Trilateral Commission stuff, and everybody realizes they've got one of those kooks. Luke says "Answer my question! You are scum!" which gets the crowd quite irate and the security hustling him out the door. One of the security guards suggests, 'Get the tape!" which results in a mad dash by the Lukester.

When is one of these guys going to be arrested so that they can start their "revolution"?
Just imagine. Luke gets arrested. Truthers proclaim "the war has begun!!!..to arms!!!...to arms!!" Then they all get busted for being insane and we all get our long awaited laugh.

Why? "To Arms" in trutherese means "go to the computer and post on all the debunking sites "See!!!! One of us got arrested after 6 years of being jackasses! "

Wow I've met this punk a couple of times around NYC at his "truth" rallies. His stupid girlfriend tried hitting on me but she is fat and ugly.
I guess I might try to pretend I was insane too if I was afraid my fat, ugly girlfriend would kill me if I left her.

Oh Luke....you silly boy you.
Well I guess I have to give him credit in that he actually does something to "fight the power."
Most twoofers just sit around on their PCs all day waiting for someone else to launch the revoltion.
Imagine if more twoofers were like Luke. Every few blocks you'd find some kid making a video of himself yelling at people. It'd be the funniest revolution ever.

I wonder if we're not onto something here. Whenever some nutjob starts interrupting a presentation spouting Twooferese, have a guy yell "GET THE TAPE!" No more Twoofer. Presentation goes on.

I can see it working. It's along the line of saying "I have AIDs" to someone who has been stalking you. Guaranteed to work.

Even better, announce that you're going to spray a little sandalwood chemtrails inside the theatre to enrich the experience....

Unfortunately, it is true.. and it wasn't funny at the time.
She yelled at me for a while first telling me that 9/11 was an inside job and then I gave her the "what the ****?" look and she dug it.

I am thinking of going to see David Ray Griffin here in Seattle next month. I think I will wear my dark suit and speak into my wrist a lot.

I've never been able to understand the logic of that one.
Bush/Blair: Saddam tried to shoot down a UN plane. Let's invade!!
UN : errrr... no he didn't, all our flights are accounted for.
Bush/Blair: Oh bugger.

Taking a lot of pictures wth your camera phone is also an effective way of feeding paranoia.
NB: I lived in Kirkland for many years. I can imagine DRG finding a sympathetic audience there.

It's stupid on lots of levels...
1) UN aircraft are not UN aircraft at all, but simply national aircraft painted in UN colours (to prevent them being attacked). The US does not provide UN operations aircraft or peacekeepers, thus no US aircraft would ever be in UN colours.
2) Iraq would be equally in violation for shooting down a coalition aircraft in regular paint scheme enforcing the no-fly zones under UN authorisation.
3) The aircraft proposed was a U2 spy plane which have only ever been operated by the US. No one would be stupid enough to fall for a U2 spy plane in UN colours.

That was preceded by the security folks discussing the fact that he wasn't supposed to have a camera there, since he wasn't with the press.

Another thing 9/11 Deniers tend to do is break the law and declare a police state or "the man" getting after them. It's like some obnoxious kid at High School who thinks he is badass for flipping off the teacher.
If this was a private screening where one had to pay admission to get in, this would definately be against the law for copyright reasons. It's along the same lines as recording at a movie theatre. I remember speakers at my high school being really anal about cameras. Of course, 9/11 Deniers are ignorant of many things, including their own laws, politics, science, and military. It comes to no surprise that this event happened.

You realize 9/11 is the impetus for this generations "sixties" rebellion...but with anger instead of love as the predominant emotion.
To people like Luke, it is all about showing up "the man". Making a scene, being a rebel, raging against the machine. This Canadian Jeff guy who makes the calls all the time to the FBI, he is the same way...

And now comes a blog post claiming that Zbig is a LIHOPer (http://chinaconfidential.blogspot.com/2007/04/carters-former-national-security.html):
Sources say Jimmy Carter's former National Security Advisor is no longer simply accusing the Bush administration of hyping the war on terror. In private conversation, Brzezinski is now said to be suggesting that the smoke generated by 9/11 conspiracy theorists may conceal real fire--namely, administration complicity in the mega-attacks of more than five-and-a-half years ago.
Brzezinski is reportedly refraining from accusing the administration of actually aiding the Al Qaeda attacks. Instead, sources say, he claims that a "cabal" of high-level officials knew or strongly suspected that a major terrorist attack was likely to occur but did nothing to stop it in order to create a pretext for an endless war abroad and police-state-like powers at home.
I'm not a big fan of "sources say" when they're being quoted by the mainstream media; obviously they're even less credible when they're cited by an anonymous blogger. That said, Brzezinski certainly hinted (http://foreign.senate.gov/testimony/2007/BrzezinskiTestimony070201.pdf) in testimony to the Senate that the US might use a "false-flag" terror attack to justify war with Iran:
A plausible scenario for a military collision with Iran involves Iraqi failure to meet the benchmarks; followed by accusations of Iranian responsibility for the failure; then by some provocation in Iraq or a terrorist act in the U.S. blamed on Iran; culminating in a “defensive” U.S. military action against Iran that plunges a lonely America into a spreading and deepening quagmire eventually ranging across Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.
As I wrote on SLC, yellow light on this story.
