So now we're gonna get the scientific view from the CT's, just for you guys on the West Coast. Introduction by Dean Haglund and a Q&A with Michael Berger (of 911Truth and Connect the Dots). I fear that their "scientist" is that fella from Utah, but it'd be good to get a debunker in there for the Q&A.

R. Mackey, ConspiRaider,.... You might even meet Ace Baker there... he's nearby.

“Improbable Collapse” – Silver Lake Film Festival Screening

Scientists pose the question: How did three “indestructible” steel-framed skyscrapers collapse? “Improbable Collapse: the Demolition of Our Republic” to screen at Silver Lake, May 5.

The documentary, “Improbable Collapse – The Demolition of our Republic,” closely examines one of the world’s worst catastrophes from a civil engineering perspective. Using photo and video footage as well as expert scientific testimony, the film thoroughly examines the official reports, offering varied criticisms of the official findings, while raising a more plausible hypothesis. The findings from these scientific experts have been quietly ignored by both government investigations and the mainstream media.

Has this thing been released before, anywhere? There's no link to the film/video, itself on the 911Truth website.

ETA: Never mind... it's been playing the campuses. Has there been another thread on this? Has anyone seen it? The venues were all pretty small, and evidently a "Northeast Launch Tour". There's a separate site for the film.

I love the listing for the next showing after Los Angeles..... Monday night in a bar because that's their slowest business night and are willing to take a chance on some nutbars bringing in a few more beer and burger customers. Mondays outside the football season usually get karaoke, talent night, and trivia contests....

WTF???

Scientists pose the question: How did three “indestructible” steel-framed skyscrapers collapse?

Bolding mine.

Again... WTF??? :eye-poppi :eye-poppi :eye-poppi

Do they think it's OK to just flat-out lie, as long as it's in quotes? Who the heck said they were indestructible?

WTF?!?!?!

I am utterly gob smacked.

"On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center Twin Towers disintegrated in a manner that scientists say resembled deliberately calculated implosions." This from their site is an outright misrepresentation of the truth. No scientists in fields of study which relate to the events of 9/11 have supported their conspiracy.

This link basically says it all about them

They lie to people and then sell them books dvd's and bumper stickers with yet more lies in them.

Implosions is their one-trick-pony. Well, that and "Waaah I hate the government!" I'm more curious that they're presenting this at a film festival, proferring what appears to be as solely S. Jones as "scientists" and a "first scientific discussion" on film.... The fact that it's being done in this sort of venue, and with the opportunity for a Q&A session is more interesting than how loony they are. Remember that 911Truth and their ilk are considered the "intelligent and respected" part of the field. Like I said in another thread on 911Truth, they're basically MIHOP Lite. Mostly just because they'd love to blame Bush, The Neocons, and the NWO for everything they can.

One thing that really annoys me about the truth movement is the "scientists agree that..." claim.

There are about 10 scientists in the entire world that agree. It really frustrates me how they can turn this into something as general as "scientists agree". When a fence-sitter reads that, it goes a long way.

"Scientists agree that the World Trade Centers were destroyed by high energy weapons from outer space". Sure! TWO OF THEM!

Well actually I think it's an engineer and a philosopher (and a piano player).

Could be a joke in there...

An Engineer, a philosopher and a Pianist walk into a Diner...

The Engineer says to the Waiter, "Mountain DEW"
The Philosopher says, "Waffles"
The Pianist says, "Just nuts".

It's on Google Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4026073566596731782). The "scientists" they have are Jones, Ryan, and Jim Hoffman. Reading from left to right, a discredited and retired physicist, a water tester who was fired by his company for claiming to have expertise in steel testing, and an engineer. Well, actually a software engineer.

I might go to the screening, it would be lovely to meet RMackey. We could join forces in proclaiming "Improbable Collapse" to be propagandist garbage. I certainly have questions for the kindly Mr. Berger.

Thanx Brain.... I'm halfway through. It's about as dull as a plastic spatula, though, and it's late here, so I'll watch the last 30 minutes tomorrow.

So far just Jones, Ryan, Griffin, and Hoffman droning their normal material. Did they tell them all to s p e a k s l o w l y so you'll sound more scientific?

my university just went through a week long waste of time on 911 CT crap. they finished up friday by showing IMPROBABLE COLLAPSE, and then having gage come and talk. i didn't stay for the gage talk, as the fiancee was wanting to go get food...

ANYWAYS, if you guys wanna pass out stuff before/after the vid, you can use what i wrote up for the video:

http://www.metalhordes.com/bleak/911

(_all is contains a backwards compatable word doc. the other contains a .docx doc)

i only had a couple days to put the doc together, but i think it made a difference for on the fencers; there were a number of STUDENTS that had been sent to watch the film as an assignment by their 911 CT english TEACHER!! grrrr!!!

any scientists out there should go, and at least mention to on the fencers that jones and others that believe in CD are the MINORITY. on the fencers need to realize that there is NO scientific debate on whether CD brought down the towers or not.

it's disgusting that the on the fencers are lied to so much by the 911 CTs. it's not surprising that the troof movement can pick up new members when professors and such espouse these lies to students that don't know any better.

disgusting.

Thanks, OMGT. Nice work.

How many showed up for the screening (and how many of those from the class who had it assigned to them)? Just curious.

np. enjoy!

there were probably about 50 people there.

it looked like about half were students, and the rest i recognized from other 911 truth BS in chico.

it's odd. in chico, it's not young college kids like you'd expect. it's old hippies.

of course, this crap hasn't been on campus much. so we'll see...

I went over to UCLA today for the bookfair and on the way there it occured to me that Mark Dice loves to parade around there.
I didnt see him or any of the troothers which was kinda surprising given that there were booths there hawking books of the tin foil nature.

As it happens, I'll be out of town that day. Although since their "scientists" aren't, I can't think of a worse way to waste an afternoon...

Also, no need to warn me. I'll bet I'm as good at ignoring Ace in real life as I am here on the Forum. :D

Happy May Day Comrades....

Sorry you aren't going to be around. I'd just like someone to whup Berger upside the head with some actual, like, numbers 'n egghead stuff.
