View Full Version : Fetzer-Roberts Hardfire Debate: Part 1 Transcript

I've created the transcript of the Fetzer-Roberts Hardfire Debate: Part 1.

 That file can be downloaded here: http://tinyurl.com/2mb5kg

I would greatly appreciate any corrections, suggestions, or input into the process. Please especially look out for phonetic mistakes: for part of the transcript I used speech recognition, and it was- at times- a struggle. For example: sometimes when I would say "Saddam" it would type "so dumb", and when I would say "Fetzer" it kept typing "pompous blathering ignoramus"... I don't know- maybe it was my articulation. At one point, when I was saying "Judy Wood does not have any figures" for some reason it typed "Judy would like to finger us". I puked a little in my mouth and had to go back to typing manually. :mglook

After going through the first part over... and over... and over... and over... I've come to the conclusion that although some people do have the impression that Fetzer was given some rope, here- if you read the transcript of what he was actually saying, and the techniques he was using to dodge the issues- Mark and Ron deserve a lot of credit. Fetzer may have gotten in a few ridiculous statements, but they pale in comparison to the points brought up by Mark and Ron.

Enjoy.

Nice work!

Wow! Thanks again.

Keep in mind when reading this that just before the show, we had all agreed that we wouldn't be discussing the Iraq. Of course Fetzer goes right to Saddam.

Very nice.

nitpicks that you asked for:
"proceed to investigate this",
not: "precede to investigate this"
standpipes not "stan pipes"

Toto, I emailed you some minor corrections, like those TjW pointed out. I'm amazed at how well you captured the crosstalk. That must have been as frustrating to transcribe as it was to experience. :)

Thanks. :)

It was pretty frustrating- I had to try and figure out where to break some of the statements, and I had to listen very carefully to what Jones said on a couple things because I really didn't believe what I heard.

Although- I had the ability to walk away and go play Scarface...

Page 10 of 18:
MARK ROBERTS: [Interrupting] Let's talk about the energy that's required to do that. I'm going to accept- for Now- that you're right: that 80% of the steel in those two towers was- was- vaporized. I don't believe that at all, but I'm going to accept that for the sake of argument. Judy wood, who's making this argument in an interview on the Internet recently- I think she was being interviewed by a physicist- and he said to her, this is a quote "have you done any energy-" this is her leading theory, I don't know if she created this theory are not, but- but- she's a major proponent of it. [. . .]
First highlight should be "Judy Wood".

Second highlight should be "created this theory or not", unless Mark actually misspoke there. I haven't watched the debates. :)

Totovader is clearly a real "truther". Maybe we should start referring to the 9-11 deniars as "pseudo-truthers", since its clearly not "the truth" that they are after. Real "truthers" look at all the evidence, listen to all the experts, and make a sound, informed judgemant as to where all the evidence leads to. 9-11 deniars....do no such thing.

JIM FETZER: It's- it's some form of directed energy weapon, almost certainly in a class
of new weapons that were developed during the Star Wars research program initiated byinitiated
by Ronald Reagan- something in the- possibly in the laser/maser/plasmoid
category- possibly involving anti-matter. This is-

Anti grey matter seems to be the theme from the 9/11 truthers.

Very nicely done. I haven't watched the debates yet (gotta wait to go home, because my download limit here at College is tiny) but the transcript gives me a good idea of what was going on.

I was getting frustrated just reading that...

Toto, you need a macro that will insert [Interrupted] in at the start of every paragraph....

I don't follow. Did we develop a portable anti-matter containment field while I was asleep?

Didn't you get memo N#8891827-2005? Yes we did, and no, you can't borrow it for the weekend.

I ran a few searches :p

"WIECK: [Interrupting]" = 38 matches
"ROBERTS: [Interrupting]" = 62 matches
"FETZER: [Interrupting]" = 77 matches

For those interested... lol.

I just finished reading through it again... Man, I still can not get over the sheer stupidity behind the theory that an energy weapon was used to destroy the towers. Mind boggling.

And the reliance upon second hand sources! Everything seems to come from You Tube videos, which is plainly crazy. Why not go to the source, and contact the various news corporations, and ask to see their archives? Why not view the first hand material archived in the NYC library itself? Relying on You Tube just seems so... so amateur.

Cheers,
TGHO

I have the entire BBC 9/11 archive from 9:20am until 10:20pm (approx.)

After watching them, I can tell you that the WTC7 mistake they made was one of many, many stupid mistakes made by the BBC on 9/11 due to the fog of war. For example, they confirmed that a car bomb had gone off outside the state department and kept repeating that for a good few hours.

Sorry about the semi-off-topic response lol.

Probably not that off topic after my post above... Even primary sources contain errors which must be acknowledged. I just get annoyed when someone like Fetzer claims that the video evidence contains "anomalies".

And some of those from Mark and Ron are not really rude interruptions- they're just interrupting an interrupter, or asking the question again because Fetzer dodged it...

Still- that's hilarious.

Yep- I've already started on 2... I'm only about 1/8 the way through it, though. I hope to have both of them done by the end of the week.

I have a hard time keeping up with the loonies without a scorecard. Is Fetzer currently considered an "in" guy? Or do the loons consider him a loon?

Because that comment about the energy weapon is about as looney as one can get.

Well, I would have asked about proof that the government had ever stabilized dilithium crystals at that point, so it's probably good that Mark does these kinds of things.
