View Full Version : How to get your Myspace account deleted!

I had a myspace account. Then I decided I didn't want one. So I clicked on a link that claimed it would allow me to delete my account. I clicked on that link and it told me I would be emailed information about how to delete my account. So I waited. No such email arrived. So I tried that to do it again. I went on my account and pressed the button again to delete my account. Same messages, still no email arrived.

Now I originally opened my account with MYSPACE using an older email address that I no longer had access to. I had however managed to get them to change my email address to my current one. I know that was successful because I would get notices from MYSPACE at my new email address. So I was begining to wonder if they had an error in their programming and the instructions on how to delete your account was being sent to the original email address (which I no longer had access to.)

So I sent and email to them explaining that I really wanted to delete my account but had had no such luck because I never got the email from them explaining how to delete my account. They sent back a form email with instructions on how to delete my account. The instructions had me do the same thing I did at the very begining. And I still got the same message that they would be sending an email with instructions on how to delete my my account.... and of course, that email never arrived.

So I wrote them again. And they sent me the same form email back again. So I wrote them again. And they sent me the same form email back again. I tried their method several times, but only got a message saying I would get an email with instructions on how to delete my account.... which I never got.

So I started to get angry. I emailed them again. This time expressing my anger. I got another form email, but this one was a little different. It mentioned that I should include my email address and password in my reply to them to confirm who I was and that I wanted my account deleted.

I did this.

And there was no response. I did it several times, and there was no response.

So I got angry again, and emailed them. They wrote back with yet another form email telling me that I had to send them a photograph of myself holding a piece of paper with the number of my account written on it.

I thought this was ridiculous. I have NEVER heard of such a bizzare request.

Nevertheless, I sent them the image. No response. So I sent the image again. No response.

By now a month had passed and I kept trying to get my account deleted, and they kept ignoring me.

Finally after two months of trying to get my account deleted, I had an idea.

I started uploading porn. They claimed that if you uploaded porn, your account would be deleted.

I even reported myself to them for obscene content.

They just came on and deleted my porn and told me not to do it again.

I of course did it again... and reported myself again, telling them I had been asking for my account to be deleted dozens of times, and that I would continue to upload porn to their site until they deleted me.

They just sent another form message telling me not to upload porn, and they deleted my porn.

So I uploaded more porn, and this time started harrasing the Christian based myspace accounts, saying nasty things to them about jesus and showing them my pornographic images.... HOPING someone would complain and get my account deleted..

I was spamming people!

Finally, however, after having my porn deleted several times, I went all out. I filled my account with the maximum number of images I could upload (300) and they were all porn.

I wrote them again, telling them that I was furious for being ignored, and I would keep uploading porn and bothering the Christians....

And finally... it was gone.

My account was deleted.

I had won the war.

So, my message to you is. If you want to delete your account. Try uploading porn, and lots of it. Oh, and it seems to help to piss off the Christians too.

Don't believe the pictures they are deliberately misleading! I once had a girlfriend whose MySpace pictures bore about as much resemblance to her as a flower does to a cactus.

NOTE: Did not meet on MySpace (I have a thing against internet dating). She was the sister of a friend and we both happened to have MySpace accounts.

ETA - And she lied about her age (on the site and in person), which in an only slightly different situation could have meant BIG trouble.

Myspace customer service notoriously sucks. They answer questions -- if they answer them-- by sending you an FAQ (meaning the answer your question by telling you to do what you've already did that didn't work)

You'd have an easier time in this scenario by posting hardcore porn or spamming groups. They seem to act on that somewhat quicker than legit requests by users about how to do something on myspace.

What sort of service do you expect from a company owned by Rupert Murdoch? Oh Yes! Myspace.com is owned by NewsCorp, The same people who run FoxNews!

And yet it's a pretty safe bet that there are people who have posted a slightly risque picture, got reported by some jerk, and got deleted within the hour.

Wow, it must have been tough finding 300 digital images of porn to upload! ;)

No wonder they have so many millions of inactive accounts, if it's so hard to delete an account.

Since adolescent means a teenager, You are saying you're sexually attracted to teenagers.

You know, when I was a teenager I was sexually attracted to other teenagers.

I guess I'm a deviant. :yikes:

I don't think he can help it. He's doing his best to start a fight. I'm guessing it is because of his lack of a normal childhood.

This is to inform you that I've opened an account in your name on my server.

To have me delete it simply upload all of your porn and I'll be glad to remove it.

Since adolescent means a teenager, You are saying you're sexually attracted to teenagers. Well, to be more specific - and I know you love that - I'm sexually attracted to the secondary sexual characteristics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secondary_sex_characteristic) of the females of the species homo sapiens. I.e., breasts, hips and butts.

If those happen to be on a teenager - well, so be it. Teenager means a person between the ages of 13 and 19. The age of sexual consent in Denmark is 15. I wouldn't touch anyone under 15, but at or over 15? Sure - if she's up for it.

The guy says he's attracted to adolescents and I'm supposed to ignore it? Uh, yes?

Are we off-topic yet?

Somewhere your picture is on someone's desk with a caption that reads, "Look what I got a user to do." When that arrived in his inbox I bet he laughed for hours and hours.

I wonder what would happen if you just put your password on your myspace page with a note to "have at it"?

Just to make it clear, they asked for the password of my myspace account, not my email account.

That has to be one of the most ridiculous ordeals I've ever heard of.... wow. That's impressive.

I thought all you had to do to get your MySpace deleted was not repost that bulletin about how Tom was in an accident and they were gonna be clearing out MySpace accounts that were inactive.

That was an incredible story. I wonder what they were thinking when you kept reporting yourself threatening to continue uploading porn if they didn't delete your account.

And this is when I would've edited one of the porn pictures to have the account number on it.

BTW, at one time, to get removed from Amazon's mailing list they required giving them the credit card number you originally used to purchase something with from them. When Amazon was a book only stoore, I purchased something from them. A few years later after the expansion I started getting messages from them. Needless to say that credit card had been cancelled a while ago.

I did finally manage to get off the list, but I was sorely tempted to find every amazon e-mail address I could and set up an auto-forward from my e-mail account to them for every message they sent me stating that their removal policy was insane and that as long as I was on their list they would be receiving copies of their e-mails they send to me.
