With all credit to Dunstan, who posted this in a thread in the Paranormal section.....

I know I get chills every time I watch the footage of how Albert Einstein crushed a Newtonian scientist in a debate and thereby proved the Theory of Relativity.

Huh? That's not what happened? He made testable predictions and scientists looked at the data? Wow. Go figure.

The topic of the thread was "Why are Darwinians afraid to debate us(the ID fundies)....."

I sometimes get the same feeling with some of the proposed troofer debates. I am a firm believer in fighting the fight so that the fence-sitters can see the other side, but I think proposals by Ace, Killtown, et al are in this category.

Publish or perish, google-scientists! Put your crap out there and let the scientists have at it. Forget the grandstanding and sophistry. Let's have the facts in a nice neat list or volume.

IMHO, every discussion/debate should start with, "You have no facts or data? Shut up(please)! Bring us the data, the evidence and the facts, and let the world look at it. No more opinions and conjecture."

You say you're a pilot, let's let some pilots review your findings in one of their trade bibles, JDX. A-Train is a self-described expert on phone calls, let's see what the folks at Lucent (now Alcatel, nee Bell Labs) have to say about your "expertise". Killtown? Just what are you a purported expert in? Let's put it out for "peer" (okay, that's a reach... who would admit to being his peer) review. Woods? Jones? Say no more. They meticulously avoid peer review for obvious reasons.

(Beachnut has been on a variation of this theme for a couple of weeks, now. The "movement" is bankrupt of evidence and facts. Period!)

lol. Honestly, that's the best summary of debating I have ever seen. A lot of truthers seem to think that they are spreading the truth by owning JREFers at their forum. Ohhhh no. You have to do a lot more than that!

I'm wondering where anybody said that winning votes in a debate means that that proves a theory?

Sounds like yet another strawman by people scared to debate. :)
