View Full Version : Which one is the worst 9/11 conspiracy movie this far?

ref
7th May 2007, 04:12 AM
We have had a truckload of movies trying to prove 9/11 was an inside job. Which one is the worst? It could be most insulting, most wrong in every detail, most plain stupid or whatever. Give any reasons you want. Post your reason why the particular movie you have chosen is the worst of this bunch. All the movies are not seen by all the people here, so this is somewhat of a biased poll, but who cares :p

And wait until I post the poll! I don't know how to do it until after I submit the thread.

I just had to go with The Pentacon

It ignores so many aspects and evidence it's unbelievable.

ETA: So do the other movies, but this is my choice anyway :)

I voted for "Some Other" because.... well, because I'm an idiot and didn't read the question where it said "this(thus) far".....

I was going to say that although we seem to think the latest (The Pentacon) is the lowest and most improbable and dumbest, there's always another coming up, and it can get worse, guys.... IT CAN GET WORSE.

But - since you wanted "worst to date"......

Well, never mind.

Is Press for Truth not considered a CT film?

Like someone said, it doesn't seem to contain any real actual claims. I have seen only snippets of it, so I can't tell for sure.

Mobyseven
7th May 2007, 06:11 AM
Loose Change, because it seems to be a sort of go-to movie for the CT-ers, and because its creators are the most successful so far at bilking people out of money while presenting claims they know to be false. They just have to know...surely.

Hourglassmemory
7th May 2007, 06:22 AM
Anything done by Alex Jones, because ti polutes the minds of anyone who watches it with "an open mind". In other owrds anyone who doesn't mind distorting their vision of reality for a few seconds. Just like New Age people who interpret their random reaction in their brains as intergalactic messages.
But really though, all of them are equally bad and horrible and debunkable and full of crap.
They're the "Jesus Camp" of political issues.

It repeats some of the same old claims, but it mainly focuses on how the Jersey Girls are pissed off because the 9/11 Commission didn't point the finger at a government official and say "it's his fault" so they had no one to lynch.

I'm finding it hard to choose between Terrorstorm and the Pentacon. Both are very, very bad.

I've an especial loathing for Terrorstorm because occasionally someone will post a list of American false flag attacks many of which had nothing to do with America, or never happened, or weren't false flag attacks even if you accept the arguments of Terrorstorm in full, and that list seems to find its genesis in that bloody movie. And then on top of that is the usual round of complete fabrication, stating speculation and the unconfirmed as fact, etc.

Pentacon's just daft. Whoever the makers are have absolutely no idea how to make an argument and there doesn't seem to be an attempt to evaluate the bulk of evidence, so God knows what they're trying to do.

It seems to be the run-away winner, and that's no surprise. Months of build-up, thousands of posts about how it'll be the bestest thing ever, followed by it's complete failure to accomplish it's goal. In fact, as mentioned earlier, it's even self-debunking, so rather than moving CTs into the mainstream, they actually managed to push them farther towards the fringe.

Add in it's failure to even convince a majority of the twoofers, and the creators continued insistence that it's not a complete failure, and well, the competition just can't keep up. All they have going for them is garden-variety stupid, which the Pentacon also has, in spades.

mortimer
7th May 2007, 11:05 AM
The Pentacon, hands down. Not only were the claims made the most outrageous yet, but also it was the most poorly produced and least interesting to watch CT vid yet. At least Loose Change, as a work of fiction, was marginally interesting.

Haven't seen all of them, but of the ones I've seen, "The PentaCon" takes the win. Not only was it self-debunking, but thanks to Lyte and Merc's over-confidence in it, it was almost completely "pre-bunked".

I haven't watched all the vids in the poll, but I voted for Pentacon. Worst camera work, worst sound, stupidest premise, all the pre-release hype and the fact that Lyte and Merc continue to tell us that they believe their own rubbish just makes it an all round winner in my book.

The original post is an almost impossible task.

It's like asking, "Which Telletubby creeps you out more?" You can't answer something like that.

... But I went with PentaCon. Only because I judged solely on "movie title" criteria. It would've gone to "In Plane Sight", but I half suspect that the guy who made the film went with that spelling not because of the double-meaning, but because he just didn't know any better.

I can't actually vote, because I've not seen the majority of those movies (some I've never even heard of before this poll listed them). To be strictly fair and arbitrary, I'd have to watch all of them to enable a fair judgment.

And I really, really like my brain waaaaay to much to subject it to such horrors.

It is tough to vote on stuff this bad; truthy bad.

I found another bad video, with credits to prove it. (or was this video so bad it is not allowed on the thread)

Open Complicity: Anatomy of the 9/11 Cover-Up http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=347655064407137426&hl=en

Credits are the proof of woo : Michael Rivero whatreallyhappened.com Jim Hoofman and Don Paul 911research.wtc7.net, Paul Thompson cooperativeresearch.org, Alex Jones Pual and Steve Watson prisonplanet.com, Christophoer Bollyn americanfreepress.com, John Hankey jfkii.com.

Why is this the worse truther video of all time? Could it be Alex Jones talking at the end? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh over an hour of junk, and a veiled attempt to blame everyone but 19 terrorist. (you know it is bad when 10/10 loyal LCF LC fans rate this high)

This video has all the great ones, "pull it", puts, et al. Show this video to people and the ones that like it can be fired before their lack of knowledge, before they destroy your business. I can not believe I watched this, it is like falling a pit with thousands of pdohs like creatures all ranting about 9/11 with no facts or evidence.

I voted other for Who Killed John O'Neill, which is really, really hard to sit through. Loose Change, and 9-11 Mysteries, for all their well-documented flaws, are at least entertaining. WKJO is the kind of film where if it was shown at the bus stop, people would decide to walk.

I think we have seen three attempts so far. If memory serves, there was Loose Change, Loose Change 2nd Edition, and Loose Change 2nd Edition Recut. Thus, Loose Change "Final Insult" will be the fourth attempt.

ETA: But I voted for 9/11 Mysteries because of that annoying, robotic voice, the crappy "research," that went into it, "clunkety clunk," and, well, because I spent a lot of tme reviewing it in detail while helping with the copy editing of the 9/11 Mysteries Viewer's Guide. ;)

I had never ever heard of that. The film's website states:

"One Actor, One Room, Seven Characters: 9/11.

Traumatized by the September 11th attacks, one man struggles to dismantle official history, at the expense of his sanity and even his life. Grappling with multiple realities - and multiple personalities - he must retreat into his mind in pursuit of the truth. In a fictional film about non-fictional events, there is a place where belief and faith will blind you, where nothing is sacred, and to get there all you have to do is ask:

'Who killed John O'Neill?'"

I would definitely walk from that bus stop :D
