Hello everyone, I haven't been around the forums for a while. Then I saw some advertisements on billboards and magazines around Hong Kong for this new "beauty/muscle toning" treatment by a clinic called "Mence", which prompted me to inquire more about it and to see whether its most likely bullsh*t or not. The only information that I could find as to how it works is from this article:
http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/english/doc/2005-03/23/content_427327.htm
It has over HK$3-million worth of hi-tech equipment, some of which use electro-impulses, sound or lightwaves to, among other things, stimulate the breakdown of fats and tone muscles.
Granted, I don't know jack ***** about how the technologies are supposed to work. But combined with the fact that the very next sentence after the one that I quoted mentions Chinese "Medicine" and acupuncture, and the fact that it sounds too good to be true, lends me to believe that it probably is. So whilst I'm pretty sure the bit acout chinese medicine and acupuncture is bullsh*t, could anyone clarify to me if what they say about "elektro impulze", "zoundwaves und leightvavez" actually has any mediocrum of truth in it? As I completely failed physics and biology, I can't really tell for myself. But my intuition tells me it's probably fake.
