Is it just me, or are those not particularly amusing?

Well, let's see:

Yeah, there's your problem.

How'd they get so many strawmen in that little box?

No, it's not only you.

Or maybe I missed the humor.

Hilarious!

It just shows to go you that everyone who insists that the world believe (or not) as they do (or don't) is a fareeking NUTCASE!

My contribution to the Anonymous Atheist Complaint box is:

"Dear Anonymous Atheist Complaint Box,

I am a sociable fellow. That is, I like meeting people. I'll start conversations with complete strangers over absolutely nothing at all. My problem is when one of these strangers whips out a tract and starts "witnessing" to me about his favorite sky fairy or messiah-on-a-stick. I would really like to avoid these wackos, so is there any way to pass a law that says Xians must wear some kind of symbol around their necks? Something that screams "Stay Away" or "Approach At Own Risk"? Maybe a big "X" or something like that. Then we could round them all up once a week and force them all to stay indoors with each other for a few hours and listen to their own crap! THAT ought to teach them to keep their fareekin mouths shut!"

Neither of them seem particularly great, but the only one that annoys me is the one that suggests that circumcision is good. I remember when I used to post on SA there were always big arguement about circumcision that were usually utterly retarded.

A different box of strawmen, but they don't insult me, so they're funny.

Can't stand Christianity. Still not funny. Too obvious, too caricatured. Which is fine for silly banter or forum posts, but for something that's set up as deliberately funny, both of these fall flat on their arses.

Some of these are quite amusing. Good find!

Dear Anonymous Christian Complaint Box,

I finally saw a picture of a Sloth on the TV and now I understand why they're so evil. They look like a demon Chewbacca!

I'll keep taping nature TV to see a gluttony.

I was being facetious.

They're not funny, but a few of them make me think, "I know someone like that."

(Actually, the one about having sex with Crash Bandicoot made me smile; apparently, I have the maturity of a twelve-year-old.)

Yeah, it's kinda like watching reruns of Monty Python's Flying Circus or Gilligan's Island -- you know what's coming because you've seen it before, and when you see it again, you wonder why you ever found it interesting in the first place.

I know, I just thought the standard was pretty poor across the board.

Maybe you should show us something in a similar vein that you find amusing--Did you check out the last pages? (Or you can submit your own so your type of clever is represented.)

As an atheist, I found the Christian ones funnier (blasphemy always makes me giggle), but there was some good one's in the atheist box. Some were so funny, I thought they must have been written by atheists. I know the one's that mischaracterize atheist were daft... (and we all know theists tend to be week on humor)

But this is rather wry:

"Dear Atheist Complaint Box:

"Just a real quick y/n on Paul Bunyan?"

(And come on...the sloth example listed above was great...it has the daftness associated with a true believer...complete with nature channel reference, a deadly sin, poor syntax, and pious ignorance.)
