In general though, doesn't every political party blame the opposition for everything that goes wrong, and take credit for everything that goes right?

Interestingly, I cannot recall the Clinton administration blaming anything on Bush. Perhaps that's because nothing much went wrong.

Yeah, I would to see some examples of that too!

However, I do remember when Oliver North was running for one of the Senator from Virginia posts in 1994, and he claimed that Clinton's military policies had created a "hollow military". I thought that was rather odd since at the time Clinton had been president for two years and Reagan/Bush had the drivers seat for the previous twelve.
