Interview with Colin Fry in teh Grauniad (http://www.guardian.co.uk/g2/story/0,,2084262,00.html)today.

No, his audience are those gullible enough to give him money, not those who expose his lies.

I like the ending sentences of that - it portrays an image of a guy who knows his target audience, and knows he does not need to attempt to justify himself to them. It is an image of a man who knows he is safe in his deception.

I should probably be a little more grateful than I am for people like Colin Fry, because it was specifically the trumpet incident that led me to question further not just the abilities of mediums, but the stuff that surrounds them - the censorship, and the refusal to comment on matters like this. The intervention of the PR guy to try to shut down the interview reminds me of the way my questions about this incident were deleted from Fry's section on the LivingTV forums.
