Quite clearly, young Timothy was the guest of honor for a cozy little dinner.

(I must say that Joe and the narrator must have been very thorough diners if they left not even one trace of the poor boy. No bones, blood stains, gristle, nada. Impressive -- the Donner party and Alferd Packer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alferd_Packer)would have been proud.)
