Hello - this is my second thread here after going from being a believer in psychics, etc to at the moment questioning these beliefs and starting to become more sceptical so just wondered what your take on this article I have just read is?
I can't find a link to it on the web, but it's in a "true life" British magazine called "Pick me Up", but about an American girl. Apparently when the girl was 3 weeks old a spiritualist (who had counselled this woman's parents) contact her mother and told her that the daughter had a gift from God. She said could see paintings all around her and see her on stage reciting her words of wisdom. The woman predicted that the talent would start age 4 and then when she was 9 the she would be famous. The mother thought it was rubbish until at aged 4 the girl began to paint and at aged 9 was invited on to the Oprah Winfrey show. She also writes poetry. The girl’s website says she has a gift from God, etc.
What do you all think of this? If the woman claimed not to believe what the spiritualist said surely she would just forget her claims, so is this selective memory or something? Of course it's in a magazine so could just be publicity!
