I was reading a concentration camp doctor's accounts of poison gas killing in the Holocaust and one incredibly disgusting detail he mentions was that the bodies would often be covered with you know what cause an involuntary you know what often happens in drowning and poison gas deaths.

I know that's also true of hanging, shooting and overdose but that's postmortem. I think.

Is there any death, besides dying of hunger and thirst, where that doesn't happen?

Just a nitpick, it isn't an involuntary movement. It is the muscle sphincters in the body relaxing when their nerve and O2 supply cease and the muscle tone disappears.

carbon monoxide poisoning gives the corpse a rosy hue...

(as does liver mortis (which is purplish)...in the lowest points of the body)....

Spontaneous combustion

As, I recall from the movie Spinal Tap, spontaneous human combustion leaves a green stain...more of a globule actually.

The Holocaust eyewitness claimed that the Jews gassed would do it while they were still alive as a result of being poison gassed.

Does anyone know anything about this? :(
