Our is Corey B. Trotz

Today, Trotz is the "Heavy Hitter" -- or the Memphis version, at least.
Actually, there are more than a dozen "Heavy Hitters" in markets across the country, all developed by the same New Orleans-based advertising agency, Group Matrix. Each campaign is tailored for its particular market and individual attorney.

So according to this, there are at least a dozen more with the same shtick.

Is this anything new? "Big Boy" franchise is owned by a half a dozen different companies, depending on the locality.
I've often suspected radio stations subscribed to "humor services" that sold daily sets of jokes and things to talk about, but made sure only one station in any given market got ahold of it. I know playlists of music have been that way for awhile, and rare is the (local) DJ who selects his or her own playlists, at least at any time other than the middle of the night.
Walmart has test stores and computerized layouts where they try different product displays and locations. When something works, they roll it out nationwide the next day.
I know I've seen advertising styles of a "local" business in other markets -- and either somebody is copying, or there's some higher advertising agency selling it to local businesses.

When Ambulance Chasing becomes a franchise, we know we've lost.

Greg Remmenga. Pronounced "REM-men-gay." I figured it was a "chain" when I saw one of their commercials had palm trees in the background. We don't have any palm trees here. :)

I recently saw a Mesothelioma-lawyer ad reference Wikipedia.

He's up here in Dallas too. Never met the guy, but inclined to agree with NoZed.

Texas also has "The Strongarm" Brian Loncar.
We have a local attorney named Jonathon Juhon (with a J, he likes to tell us) who says in his commercials that he is neither the "Texas Hammer from Houston" nor "The Strongarm from Dallas" while holding up a box of baking soda. At the end of his commercial, he pours out the box while declaring "Arm & Hammer cleans suits. I win them."

I remember him fighting Fritz Von Erich in the old days.
Didn't he use a sleeper hold?

Takes cases. If they go to trial (and he does everything humanly possible to settle), he has *other* attorneys actually handle that part. Most of those attorneys (not all, I admit) are not good at it.
Tool.

Any first hand experience with Loncar? His ads make him seem like a tool too.
As much as I want people to be able to make people who hurt them pay, I hate, hate hate, that these vultures are making a disgustingly good living (hell, they probably own houseboats for all I know) on people's pain. To me it makes trial lawyers little different from psychics or hucksters selling faith healing. I'd like to see tort reform which protects the little guys from people who hurt them (even if it's another irresponsible little guy), but the lampreys going after the deep pockets is little more than wealth transfer to the bottom feeders of our society... esq. or not on their business cards.

Nothing first hand. What I have heard does not encourage me.

Well, you're judging the entire field based on the worst (though disgustingly high-profile) cases. That's like judging doctors based on Mengele (slight exaggeration for effect).
