View Full Version : KILLTOWN is Banned from Yet ANOTHER site!

ATS Banned Killtown!!!! Bwahhahahaa

A Public Banning Today...

A rare public banning today on ATS.

Normally we don't discuss bannings, but given recent events in our 9/11 Conspiracies forum, it seems appropriate to be open about this one.

After much consideration and discussion among our staff, it is with sincere regret that I announce the termination of ATS membership privileges for "KILLTOWN" This is unfortunate since, until recently, it has often been a benefit for our membership to have direct access to one of the early pioneers of vocal 9/11 conspiracy speculation.

If you post up a half-link to the thread I'll re-link it for you. You need 15 posts to post a full link.

ATS doesn't ban often, so this is pretty interesting looking at it as an ex-ATS member. However, I couldn't care less about Killtown himself lol.

Killtown, being a pioneer of the 9/11 movement, has been suffering the longest from this chronic paranoid state. As a result, his spiralling towards insanity has been occuring for much longer than most, and hence his thought processes, and claims have become more outlandish exponentially as time has passed.

ie. He has lost it...big time.

For those interested, some continued fall-out here:
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread287169/pg1

And for those who'd rather not click the link, the important part is this:
Recent activities within the "9/11 Conspiracies" forum have been the catalyst for an increasing trend of tonality and civility issues across many portions of AboveTopSecret.com. For those who are unaware (or don't care), the entire field of "9/11 conspiracies" is undergoing troubling turmoil as "9/11 Truth" groups have devolved into dozens of dissociated "factions" each with their own belief system. These factions are embroiled in an escalating war of incendiary rhetoric, increasingly preposterous theories, and contemptuous accusations in a disastrous competition for attention.

We had to deal with an invasion of angry "no-planers."

The Doc

In all honesty, ATS is a pretty respectable board, regardless of the opinions of some of its members (such as the 9/11 conspiracy theorists and the reptilian agenda preachers etc.). I had some good discussions there (not in the 9/11 forum of course, that "discussion" was horrible) regarding politics, aircraft development, breaking news and similar.

I'd post on ATS over LC any day of the week though. As noted by this thread, bans are pretty rare and the forum is well moderated.

If I remember correctly, SkepticGuy and the others that run ATS are accused of being CIA, FBI, COINTELPRO, and NSA quite often lol. Doesn't really surprise me that LC has joined the bandwagon. I have from a VERY RELIABLE SOURCE (http://z10.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=10800) that: ... ATS is run by the CIA. Has anybody ever considered the possibility that the "Truth" movement is getting less insane? Think about it; in order to be a 9-11 Denier in 2001 or 2002, you had to be pretty wiggy. But then as time goes by, the early researchers managed to locate some anomalies that at least were intriguing enough to get people who were slightly less bonkers to get into it. But of course once that happens, the new generation begins to realize that the original researchers (Killtown, Nico Haupt, Holmgren, Web Fairy, etc.) are nuttier than a Blue Diamond warehouse. Time goes by and a still newer generation of Deniers enters the movement, again slightly more sane, and the second generation, the Karl Schwarz, Mike Ruppert, Leo Wanta generation starts to get pushed out as too kooky for the Morgan Reynolds, Jim Fetzer, Steven Jones brigade. But as they move into the positions of power, another group is coming up behind them that sees this latest gang as mostly nutbars...

The 9/11 CT movement might be growing slightly less insane, but if so, it will mean the eventual demise of the movement, which I believe at its core requires a big dose of insanity to exist. In fact, what appears to be a move towards increased sanity may be nothing more than opportunists attempting to make the 9/11 CT more palatable to mainstream audiences, to increase its potential market appeal. Basically, people like Dylan Avery are picking up pieces of dried feces left behind by the Killtowns of the world, painting it yellow, and trying to palm it off as gold. The occasional intellectually muddled Chuck and Rosie may fall for it, but anyone who really looks into it will soon find...well, crap is crap, after all.

Eventually the market potential (which probably isn't great) will be exhausted, the opportunists will move on, and the veneer will blow away, revealing the tiny inner core of insanity that has fueled the 9/11 CT movement all along. Mark my words, Killtown will still be doing what he's doing long after Dylan Avery has packed up and gone on to whatever anonymous fate awaits him.

Not less insane, but perhaps running out of steam. They try and try and nothing they do makes the slightest difference, so they begin to look around for something else.

One thing I have noticed recently is an increase in the other 'truther' obsessions. Being a 'truther' nowdays is not all about 911. We have 'JFK truthers' , 'NWO truthers' etc etc

Basically, the very paranoia which brought them into the embrace of the 911 'truth' movement is becoming more and more prominent in their posts.

911 (to them) is just a symptom of a bigger disease. In this belief they can conveniently explain away the total lack of interest in 911 displayed by the media and the opposition political parties. THEY'RE ALL IN ON IT!!!111!!!

The window of opportunity for anything productive to happen with regard to 911 is closing as the 2008 US elections draw near. 911 'truth' won't go away, but it is becoming subsumed to the greater 'truth movement' which believes everything bad that happens to the faithful is someone else's fault.

How many times has a 'truther' posted their absurd fantasies on this forum and we have  ?

And so, when a mod at the LCF encounters the same paranoid delusions it makes for a damned good laugh.

Although, I do admit, I've only visited them during 9/11 conspiracy fantasy related research. Huh... I guess when you only visit the alleys, you never get a good impression of the city.

I think it's quite funny really. The Truthers are fighting over their territory trying to claw as much of it to themselves as they can and leaving the rest to come up with more and more outrageous claims to survive. Instead of working togther to eliminate the weaknesses, their fighting just shows up the cracks more and more as they debunk each others claims.

On the other hand the debunkers stand with a united front and a pretty much a single theory that just gets refined over time as people investigate it further.

It's sort of like going off to battle then sitting on the sidelines watching the enemy cut itself to pieces and only having to whack the strays on the head when they venture to close to our lines.

I was watching the US Open golf tournament yesterday. They put up a graphic showing this year had the most foreign born players of all time. Then they showed the "countries" that were most represented.

Leading of was "The United Kingdom." That was followed by Australia, South Africa, and a few others.

Now, Wikipedia tells me that the UK is comprised of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. So, how does that constitute a "country."

Link? That sounds like an urban legend.

And, there is a distinct difference between English spoken in the US vs the UK. While there are plenty of different accents here primarily based on geography, much of what you hear from Hollywood (or California in general) and from national broadcasters could be described as typical "American english."

The United Kingdom is a sovereign state, while England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland are its constituent countries. The relationship of the UK to its constituent countries can be compared to the former Yugoslavia and its constituent countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, and the others I can't remember).

I think Great Britain is just the name of the island that includes England, Scotland, and Wales (as opposed to the island of Ireland).

Look at it from the 40,000' view; American English and British English are almost parallel to Spanish and Portuguese in the same-yet-different category.
