Which twoofer actually made you sit down and think?

About our educational system? Or about their posts?

You'll find that we've done a lot of thinking about what many 9/11 deniers have said. Isn't that apparent from the posts here?

I'd suggest a more specific question. The question you posed can be interpreted in many ways.
Of course, I'm assuming that was not your intention.

The closer they get to LIHOI the more likely I am to consider whether anything they bring up might be worth a second glance -- i.e., whether this or that thing might have tipped off investigative agencies if they had been structured in such-and-such better way or whatever.
Other than that, Ace and Kirkman do a good job of making me sit back in awestruck wonder.

Actually, Craiggers did notably make me think for a while (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?postid=2686052#post2686052) about that one extremely convoluted sentence that won him yet another Stundie nomination.

I forgot about that. It certainly made me think for a good 10 minutes.

Malcolm Kirkman is breathtaking. I still can't fully accept the possibilty that he is exactly what he appears to be. Imagine being provably wrong in EVERYTHING you say.

Yes I agree, Lyte Trip and Malcolm Kirkman have made me think a lot!
If I take the OP the way I suspect you intend it to be taken, the only CTer who has ever really had me think in any depth about their theories is David Ray Griffin (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?t=83058).

Deliberately vague. Thinking is thinking.

He drives me batty wondering whether he's being earnest in his posting or not. Even if he's just some guy doing it all for a lark who doesn't believe anything he's posting, I'd still have to say that -- in the immortal words of Hank Hill -- that boy ain't right.

I was trying to explain DRG's convoluted conspiracy theory regarding Gregory Scarpa and Ramzi Yousef to a friend yesterday and it was making my head hurt.

Yes, but more thought must have gone into specific people/posts at some time or another.

Yeah when I read that bit of his book I was going "Huh, did someone sneak a plot summary for the next Tom Clancy novel into the back of this?"

I nominate MirageMemories, while he is still using incredulity and long debunked claims to support his points, he is at least not resorting to the usual level of ad hominems.
I still need to respond to his latest posts, of which he has completely failed to answer any of my questions, but brought up a valid quote from a firefighter.

Has miragememories noticed yet that the 6 storey building next door to his workplace is not 22 storeys tall, as he claimed? And has he figured out yet that the building he works in is 18 - not 22 - storeys tall, as he claimed?
Regarding ad hominems, he seems to be using all of his usual ones in that thread.
Regarding the firefighter quote, I did not do more than a cursory read of the thread because, frankly, reading Loose Change forum threads for too long makes my head hurt, so I am not sure which firefighter quote you are referrring to as the link you posted wasn't specific to a particular post.

Lyte - made me think of how some people are simply blinded by their own agendas.
ACE - made me think of how someone can live in our world physically, but in a completely different world mentally/intellectually
PDoh - made me think of how obsession can take over ones life.

Dylan Avery makes me think that any mediocrity can become quasi-famous for a while. It's just a matter of what you're willing to do to make it happen.
ETA: I probably shouldn't have said that. Avery no doubt will now claim "hey, the JREFers made a list of the most inspiring people ever, and I'm on it! That proves they're secretly on our side! You don't call someone one of the most "inspiring" people ever unless you admire and agree with them right?"

John DoeX was the first Truther I ever encountered and he inspired me to choose my username. I was just amazed at his ability to assert multiple mutually exclusive ideas in a single post and hurt my brain trying to follow his reasoning. It's all been down hill since then.

Phony as a three dollar bill. No way anyone could write like he does and be as dumb as a fence post.

If you take the time to track down many of his claims, you'll find some interesting stuff regarding his "research".
"Regarding WTC2 (South Tower). As we know firefighters reached floor 79 where they claimed to have observed 2 easily controllable spots of fire. Of course, it’s possible that more intense fires were raging several floors above the two firemen–––fires that did cause fatal weakening of columns."
That's a reference to this....
http://www.911myths.com/html/no_wtc2_inferno_.html
http://www.debunking911.com/fire.htm
He even repeats silly claims of no broken windows by fire. I thought he said he read the report. LOL!! That was a Fetzer claim.
"Not only were people in the buildings looking out the impact holes, the windows on the buildings remained intact. If the fires had been as hot as NIST maintains, then those windows could not have remained intact."
There was over 1000 broken windows on WTC1 alone
http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?postid=1923134#post1923134
I would also suggest look at the NIST report and others.

Indeed, I have a full library of 911 clips, images, government reports etc which I am trying to organise. Some of his claims are harder to find than others but he makes such amazingly silly mistakes, like claiming NIST ignored fireproofing on the entire floor if one office was damaged, despite an image showing this to be false being directly opposite the passage he quoted.
He has failed to do his own research and this is obvious from his latest post which is part Kevin Ryan and part rense :(

I always liked LondonEye's from the old Loose Change boards demeanor but I don't remember any reasonable arguments. The last I heard he/she was going to do research on cell phones on planes. Then disappeared.
The comparison of a 6 story concrete building that fell over in an earthquake to the WTC towers was a remarkable idea that LondonEye would not accept wasn't relevant.
Mirage Memories does seem to give arguments that are more detailed and technical than most not just the typical fell faster than freefall.
Dr Griffin to me does nothing more than tell glaring untruths and rehashing of old obviously untrue or unimportant statements. (Such as the fact the tower hit second fell first proves something was fishy) . I believe he is the type who is only interested in hawking his books and lectures and should know better than to put forth some of the ideas he does.

IIRC LondonEye was an LCF admin who disappeared at exactly the same time as a number of terror suspects in the UK were arrested last August. That whole liquid explosives thing. I always thought there was something fishy about that, but I guess that would be CT type thinking.
