From a Scripps Howard News Service article (http://www.miamiherald.com/367/story/141011.html):
DENVER - The question of whether a Denver girl was cured by a miracle courtesy of an 18th century missionary priest is now in the hands of the Vatican.
The Denver Archdiocese has wrapped up its part of an investigation into whether Father Junipero Serra intervened to save Kayla Rebecca Kellog from severe birth defects before she was born.
There's more of course. I thought I'd post this in case anyone might be interested or care to comment.

They need to bring the Devil's Advocate back. How can they possibly prove this? All the evidence they have is prayers and a nondeformed baby.

Why did they wait 14 years to initiate this process? For one thing, Serra supporters who wanted to help his case would have had an easier time while John Paul "the Saintmaker" II was in office.

How did they know the child was deformed before birth? Can we say "beta version ultrasound equipment"??

I liked this part:
The huge file was wrapped and tied with a cloth ribbon whose ends were dipped in wax. After centuries, that's still the most effective way to make sure a package hasn't been tampered with, Buelt said.
Love the grammar (ribbons are alive!), and the oh-so-scientific tamper-proof method.

Jesus is sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. This guy is totally awesome and that's a fact. Jesus is fast, smooth, cool, strong, powerful, and sweet. I can't wait to start yoga next year. I love Jesus with all of my body (including my pee pee).

It explains why the briefcase with nuclear launch codes is covered in wax.
