View Full Version : I am going to sue the U.S. government

In 1965 the U.S. invaded my country, the Dominican Republic*. I can bet i can get 10,000 people for destroying my country, the wages platform they taught our politicians to implement and the subsequent decline in the standards of living.
I bet i can sue for 50 trillion dollars. I am not kidding, i am really going to do this. It is provable that because the U.S. invaded this country more than 45 years ago we have suffered enormous calamities today. I know i can have 15,000 people working on this and also happen to know a lawyer who wants to get rich ... i would rather one that's already rich, you know, to be sure he's competent or at least knows who are the people that have to be bribed.
I already have 15 people working full time on this and i haven't told anyone yet.
Raid their bank accounts, that's where i am going to switch my arduous efforts to now.
All i need is the kook from the LC forums to win his lawsuit against the government of the U.S., i am going to be rich.
*I've always wished we had a more "normal" name, like Angola, Russia, Austria ... etc.

You get nothing until Sammy Sosa apologizes for cheapening home run records and baseball all around with his steroid use.
eta: and also Juan Uribe's failure to turn a double play which cost the White Sox the game yesterday.

He's not from the DR. But I agree he should be the first inductee into the Steroid Cheater's Hall of Infamy.

I've always wondered what name to properly call you by (you meaning citizens of the Dominican Republic). If we call you Dominican it sounds like you're from a religious order, and there's always the ambiguity with citizens of Dominica. But Dominican Republican just sounds weird.
I guess U.S. citizens have the same problem. (United Statesian???)

If you wanted to bankrupt terrorism wouldn't it make more sense to sue the terrorists?

For all your lawsuit needs, contact Roy L. Pearson (http://www.reuters.com/article/oddlyEnoughNews/idUSN1339802120070615?feedType=RSS&pageNumber=1), a judge who's suing a little mom & pop dry cleaning shop because they lost a pair of his pants.
He wants $54 MILLION, of which "only" $2.5 million is compensation for "emotional distress".

That's pretty tasty. Someone should tell LUCUS that just because the tag on his inflatable girlfriend says "Made in Mexico" doesn't mean she's "Hispanic". It's not the same thing.

They are right in one respect. They don't have to involve us in anything they do. Because the way they are going, they will self-implode all by themselves.

That must be one heck of a pair of trousers.
I've always found this (http://www.power-of-attorneys.com/stupid_lawsuit_collection.asp?wacky=0) website to be utterly fascinating. It contains such gems as:
Meredith Berkman, seeking $50 million, filed one of the first anti-fat lawsuits against the manufacturer of a snack food named Pirate's Booty. It looks like eating too much Pirate's Booty had added too much booty to Ms. Berkman's booty.
In December, 2001, the Good Housekeeping Institute tested Pirate's Booty, which is basically flavored puffed rice, and found that it contained 147 calories and 8.5 grams of fat, while its label said it contained only 120 calories and 2.5 grams of fat.
The manufacturer, Robert's American Gourmet Foods (a subsidiary of Keystone Foods), blamed the problem on a change in its manufacturing process and immediately recalled the product from store shelves.
Nearly four months after the recall, Berkman filed a $50 million class-action lawsuit against Robert's Foods, claiming "emotional distress" and "weight gain...mental anguish, outrage and indignation." The complaint claims to represent all consumers who ruined their diets and had to spend more time at the gym because they ate mislabeled Pirate's Booty.
And:
The parents of a man found naked and dead on the back of a killer whale at SeaWorld Orlando are suing the marine park, alleging the dangerous orca was portrayed as a huggable stuffed toy, according to a lawyer representing the family.
Patricia and Michael Dukes of Columbia, S.C., filed suit September 10, 1999 in Orange County Circuit Court seeking several million dollars for pain and suffering at the loss of their only son, Daniel, 27, a drifter who drowned in July in a whale tank at the Florida theme park.
Attorney Patricia Sigman said SeaWorld is legally liable because it portrayed the killer whale as human loving.
Only in America.

two questions
1) Have you told any of the 15 people you have working full time.
2) Would you settle out of court for 100 bucks and a new country name.
