Do we have any estimates as to how many 9-11 Deniers are there? Im sure the FBI, NSA, and CIA are tracking these people on a daily basis, keeping vital statistics as to their numbers, gender, age, race, employment status, housing situation, etc.

Let me guess:

Number of 9-11 Deniers nationwide= around 10,000
Average age of 9-11 Denier= 17
Sex of 9-11 Deniers= 99% male
Race of 9-11 Deniers= 95% white, mostly Anglo-Saxon
Average employment status= student, unemployed, and "freelance"
Average housing situation= 85% lives in basement with overly affectionate sister.

I was more curious as to how many people the NSA has secretly implanted RF chips with. In the middle of the night we come to Denier's homes and inject a tiny chip under the tuft of their neck. This way we can keep track of them and if they become too powerful and too strong...we can activate the self-destruct mechanism which will send a powerful surge into their spinal chord, basically killing them. =)

Sounds about right.

BTW: A friend of mine in highschool had an overly affectionate sister. I miss her.:p

How many 9/11 deniers have facts to prove anything? I will make up that list.

We could start a study of empty set theory.

I'm not aware of any scientific polls on the truthers. The only poll I've seen is the infamous 84% poll but that only covered event prior to 9/11. Think there's a couple of internet polls but they're worthless, they have Ron Paul winning in a landslide.

The only poll that makes any sense as far as your theory is concerned is one that asks if the education system world-wide is going to hell in a hand basket.

I considered quite a few opinion polls in this post (http://forums.randi.org/showthread.php?p=2350992#post2350992), where I tried to estimate the size and also sense the origins of the "Truth Movement."

My conclusions suggest that a substantial but small fraction of people have Truthy suspicions, say in the 15% range, whereas those who are also "activists" form a much smaller group, hard to detect and hard to define. This is not remarkable or surprising. It just goes to show that a considerable number of people will believe any fool idea that's set in front of them. Sept. 11th conspiracies are not the most popular or even the most bizarre alternative ideas out there, not by any stretch of the imagination.

This is, after all, why the JREF was founded in the first place. We have a lot of room to improve as a species.
